Doesn't say they areSorry but why would Southampton be in a renew or swell situation with him when he's already got a deal to 2025?
Maybe but who are the more glamorous alternatives? That would be very underwhelming
Not enough patience with a young talentNever paid him much particular attention, really. Why did Spurs let him go in the first place, their fullback options are hardly great?
The classic fbref check says he carries and dribbles the ball to a very high standard. Lots of touches in the opposition box too for a fullback. We do lack ball carriers in this team, at least…
Works for TAA, to be fairNo thanks. He has three names and isn't fit to lace the boots of any of them.
Not sure, tbh!Maybe but who are the more glamorous alternatives?
He's out until New Year with his cruciate.Would rather prefer Livramento but he would cost a lot though.
AWB is a good fullback in a counter attacking system - if you look at KWP ball progression stats you can see why he’d suit ETH far more.He might be on the list of scouted RBs but I can't imagine he's near the top of that list. He's good for the level he's at but isn't a top class RB.
I saw AWB at Palace and he was far better than anything KWP has shown at Southampton.
AWB is actually pretty good himself at ball progression, he just had a horrendous season last year but its definitely one of his only attacking strengths.AWB is a good fullback in a counter attacking system - if you look at KWP ball progression stats you can see why he’d suit ETH far more.

I’m an AWB fan but he’s not in an ETH system. He’s poor at passing the ball progressively from deep - if you give him space in transition he’s great at carrying the ball forward but that’s not what ETH wants from his fullbacks.AWB is actually pretty good himself at ball progression, he just had a horrendous season last year but its definitely one of his only attacking strengths.

Yeah but he looked like a very talented player before his injury. Obviously will need to see how he recovers from it, as it can have a huge impact having such a big injury at a young age. But if he can get to his pre-injury level he's much better than Walker-Peters and the one who should be on our list. And, more importantly, has a fecked knee
