People putting Mbappe through the middle, as if he wants to play there
Nope.
The world cup is not a high standard anymore.
The likes of Harry Maguire and Sofyan Amrabat looked like world beaters at the world cup!
Consider what Messi and Ronaldo had achieved at club level by the age of 25. Mbappe is not even close!
Considered by whom? I'm pretty sure finishing in Ballon d'Or's top 10 every year since 2017 is indicative of being considered a top european player.Ultimately, If you want to be considered a top European player in this day and age, you need to be showing it in either the Premier League, La Liga or the Bundesliga at a push.

They didn't do anything at a not high standard world cup at that age though.
Neither played for a stacked favorites team like MBappe did. They didn't do anything at a not high standard world cup at that age though.
Not that I think they were better teams but Argentina was 2nd favorite according to odds before the tournaments in 2006 and 2014 (this specific year probably mainly due to Messi to be fair) from what I can gather. France was 4th in 2018.Neither played for a stacked favorites team like MBappe did.
Aah Real Madrid, you have to admire their brand.
He’s better than anyone Madrid have and comfortably so.I don't understand why Madrid is so eager to sign him. He can't play in the same team as Vinicius and I'm not even sure he's an upgrade on him. Moreover, Mbappe said himself that he likes to play off a target man and the only striker option they have in their squad right now is Joselu.
Where has he been playing recently, seems to be the likes of Barcola Dembele and Asensio flanking him going by LiveScore etc but haven’t seen the gamesPeople putting Mbappe through the middle, as if he wants to play there
Hes not on messi or Ronaldo's level and his club impact is nowhere near those two either so yes I do find it annoying.
Luis Enrique rotates his lineups heavily, but from the top of my head I'd say he's been starting more games from the center, often drifting to the left. Animation depends on who he is playing with: with Kolo Muani, they'd swith positions quite often between LW and CF, while Barcola would very rarely move from LW as he's very active defensively.Where has he been playing recently, seems to be the likes of Barcola Dembele and Asensio flanking him going by LiveScore etc but haven’t seen the games
He may have some big numbers and the incognita of who (Bellingham, Vini or him) will be the leader.I don't understand why Madrid is so eager to sign him. Feck i was hoping that Mbapppe wanted to play in the best league in the world with a medicocre United team.
Is he not worth it?Nothing to be admired with this saga. Bending over time and time again, never did this to this degree for any other player.
And it will be rather funny and sad when we get news of another extension
Is he not worth it?
Nah, Mbappe just wouldn’t look right in black and white stripes.

Is it really a saga? It just seems Madrid are obsessed with him and won’t let him goI really hope he stays at PSG and never wins the CL. Am I being petty? Maybe but this transfer "saga" is up there with the most boring ones ever.
Already wasted far too much time at PSG, money aside.
I think that's an unfair measuring stick. For a good tournament run the stars need to align and it didn't happen for Messi and Cristiano at that point in time. Cristiano for instance played an EC final in 2004 although he was still far away from his prime. You could argue that Mbappe was a better player than those two at 17 and 18 but development isn't linear and for what it's worth, his improvement curve wasn't as steep as theirs. Especially Messi exploded at 19/20 in a way Mbappe never did. At the end of the season he turned 26 (this season for Mbappe), Messi had already won four Ballon D'Ors and had already played his 91 goals and 28 assists calendar year. Mbappe really is nowhere near, unfortunately.
Mbappe is nowhere near Messi. Even if he breaks World Cup records, he simply doesn't possess the natural talent Messi has.
However, if he does go to Real and has similar levels of production as he did at PSG(and continues his CL excellence). And he also continues his current World Cup trajectory, you can argue for him over Ronaldo.
I chose "Saga" because the topic comes up every summer. He could just commit to PSG or say he's leaving. But he's been vague about it for years, keeping his options open to extract the maximum money from PSG. They are letting it happen to themselves as he is bigger in France than the club. That the Qatari ego plays along is the only amusing part. Otherwise it's boring because it feels like it's been going on for 5 years. Is it really a saga? It just seems Madrid are obsessed with him and won’t let him go
When a player has a "camp" that does decisions for him, it's best to stay away.
He's mostly playing as a center forward this season, according to both Whoscored and Transfermarkt.People putting Mbappe through the middle, as if he wants to play there
