What's the obsession with Fred? He started the first two games and got hooked at half time on both occasions. If Eriksen doesn't start, we'd more likely see a pivot of Casemiro and McTominay than Casemiro and Fred. I understand the latter play together for Brazil but in the last two games, McTominay has been solid and based on performances, doesn't deserve to be benched.

I agree McT has been playing well, but also see sense in bringing Fred in.

With Casemiro playing, Fred won’t have to spend anything like as much time in his own half. He’s massively more effective (and less error prone) further forward.

Leicester are something like 15/16th for net spend over the past 4/5 seasons, he's been set up to fail.

Other than that Casemeiro and Fred should take up the midfield slots, they've played together, so it won't be a sudden thing and Eriksen needs a breather to be ready for Arsenal on Sunday. I think it will be a bit risky to start Casemiro with Eriksen in midfielder here. I'd go with Casemiro and Scott in the starting line up and Eriksen to come on in later stage. Defense stays the same, Martial when do we have news about him?
