Pretty solid if not very inspiring half.

We really need another couple of goals though.

Is Rashford immune to pressing? He just refuses to press, it is infuriating. Unless it's tactical, but he doesnt apply any pressure on the keeper or centre backs. Rashford to the wing, and Ronaldo up front. Take Elanga off.

Good half, but Leicester have been terrible. If we had a bit more quality up front, we could have created another couple clear cut chances.

Man for man exceptional without the ball in that half. ETH must be chuffed watching that.

just need to get one more and the game is dead.

Should've put the game to bed first half. Dalot seems to have really raised his game these last 3 games

Regardless of how poor Leicester are, this is the best half of football in so many ways (passing. movement, precision, tempo, first touch, positioning) we've played in many, many, many years. We've been in complete control. Anyone complaining after this half doesn't understand football. We've looked like a transformed team out there.

Still not perfect (obviously), but a massive improvement.
Agree. Really can’t ask more from EtH in such a short time.

This game has been played at a walking pace. This Leicester team play with less intensity than we did last season, and that's saying a lot. The game has been pretty boring, but we're winning. That's all that matters.

McTominay hasnt seen much of the ball, but he's been doing his competing well in the middle and achieving his purpose

McTominay has been objectively excellent. Very good to see.

We should have tried to kill the game off in the first half because they were rattled at one point.

Really enjoyed that 45 mins. Fully in control and playing some really nice stuff. Need another goal though as the scoreline still gives Leicester a glimmer of hope & confidence that they can snatch something from out of nowhere.

Good first halve, controlled most of it. Ten Hag has done well in turning us more into a possession based team rather then just a counter attacking team. Sancho is a bit annoying, he’s so good when he has the ball but looks proper tired of it and won’t press much from the front. We definitely need a second goal. Take rashford of for Ronaldo. Get a second goal and then bring on Casemiro to see the game out.

Feels strange trusting the managers decisions, almost as if he knows more than us fans.

hopefully not gonna regret not putting game away. Mctominay playing well, but dont see a lot of talk about how composed DDG looks back there with the ball. lots of good passes from him today.

People claim Sancho looks 'gassed' because he couldnt control that bad Rashford pass?
Was more his reaction to it. That said, he ran up the pitch from his own half twice in relatively quick succession so no shock he didn't have the legs to sprint down his miscontrol that he was never getting to

Impressed with the progress United have made with their footballing ability. Specifically ball retention and building-up from the back and setting up attacks in the final third. Mind you it isn’t what it needs to be, but some serious progress in a short amount of time.

Part of it is the team selection, but seemingly EtH has made work of those aspects which were incredibly poor for so long. Now to improve further with replacing some key positions, mainly in attack.

Early days and things can flip in an instant of course, but this should give United supporters some hope.

I don't wanna jinx it but what in the ever living feck has happened to this Leicester team?
Probably a combination of Rodgers stagnating but truth be told, it's difficult when you continue losing your best players and you try to replace them with "cheaper young talents" in the hope that they come good. They used to be excellent at finding talent - i am not the most knowledgeable on LCFC but it seems their last signings haven't been that great and have struggled.

Okay first half. Leicester have been poor since we scored and not really taken advantage. Rashford, Elanga and Sancho need to have more quality when they get it.

That Malacia booking was a joke. Decent first half though. Huge difference how comfortable we look out of possession in the last few games, whereas it was a comedy of errors last season (and even in the first 2 games).

Reasonably good first half. We’ve controlled the game through possession for long periods of that half though we were starting to drift there and both full backs are on bookings now (Malacia a little unlucky as he got the ball). We need to keep our concentration and cut out the mistakes to see out this game.

Most players are playing good or atleast did something good (yes even Rashford even if he is getting pelted here). Only Elange sticking out as not good but Antony will take him out soon enough.

Leicester is really bad though, making it really easy for Manchester United. Didnt know Leicester actually became this bad but i guess there is a reason they are last in the league.

The rashford thing in the thread must be so confusing for anyone not watching the game. It's an up and down thing. Good production interwoven into a body of mistakes. Unfortunately I agree this isnt a great performance but he's occasionally delivering good contributions more than sufficient to keep Ronaldo warming the bench.

We'll drop points here if we bring in the lazy diva. We're controlling the game completely and it starts with the high press and players who can actually move.

And after these last 2.5 games - there are people hoping never to see McT in a starting line-up again ...

Cracking good football. Should have been up by more. Dalot needs to learn to stay cool. He does something good and immediately loses focus and follows it up by a mistake. Also gets dumb yellows every now and then. Hard to pick a best player this half since everyone's been good, so probably Sancho or McTominay. Also, we need Antony on that RW, pronto. I'd also sub Eriksen and half time.

    We look comfortable.

We need to improve our attacking play though, this game should have been over by now.
Elanga and Rashford keep messing up and Sancho already looks gassed.

We've looked organised and solid defensively and had some nice passing moves

Pretty poor up front though, Rashford and Elanga have been very bad.
