I think he will be gone after the next 5-6 league games (not counting cup games where we may nick a win) as its' obvious opposition teams have figured him out and the players are not up for it.
I don't think Ed will wait till end of season. He can't. Back during LvG's tenure, while LvG was fecking up, Chelsea and City were also dropping shitloads of points which meant that we were in the Top 4 race despite the feck-ups, quite miraculously. However, the current Top 6 are quite strong (except us) -- even Spurs and Arsenal are picking up points at a rapid pace. So, if Jose lasts till Xmas, we could be 12-15 points off 4th spot, and there would be no chance of competing for it.
It is a new situation for Mr Accountant, usually he is happy to sack managers at the end of the season or when Top 4 is mathematically impossible, but the league has gotten a lot stronger since Moyes' and LvG's times, and the other Top 6 teams don't drop a lot of points to give us chances.
