You always need a bit a luck to win the title. If the ref gave a pen for Ferdinand's challenge on Amichebe (more of a pen than the one given against us today) you're probably two points away.
Sadly for you, you used up all your luck against Blackpool. Too bad, eh?

Thats insane logic, if you watched the whole game, United totally dominated Everton, compared to the way Bolton outplayed you and had way better scoring opportunities, I can't see you can debate this.

The best team won.

I would still bet that if United lost that Penalty kick, we'd still have that power to strive to win, unlike Arsenal who are total bottlers, ever since that 4-4 draw vs Newcastle.

The mentality is totally different, winners who will give it a go till 110% of the time is used and a bunch of kids who don't even know how to defend or shoot properly...

I could count at least 3-4 times when Wilshere had a free target to shoot but chose that stupid pass... Why don't you just pass the ball into the goal pete.

It makes it sweeter for me given their arrogance of being assumed to be such a wonderful footballing side. Half of Fleet Street creams on the presses whenever there's three good passes during the game and calls for Henry to be player of the year, despite not being there for the last few seasons.

I don't know if I'd call it arrogance or pomp. I'm not sure what the difference is. But pomp seems more fitting. They're are a very pompous side and the whole aura about the club is that we should all be watching in dewy-eyed admiration.

So to some up pete's arguments.

1. There is nothing wrong with Arsenal
2. If it weren't for refs Arsenal would have won the quadruple
3. United's top performers lack tekkers. Wouldn't get into the Arsenal team and can't play "Wenger ball"
4. United are plain lucky to be top of the league. If it weren't for the refs...no chance
5. In 5 years it is definitely going to be their year

Let me know if I've missed anything.

Yes because in an equivalent scenario it's been given against us - see today for a classic.
Oh, ok, well then you were lucky not to have an offside, handball assisted goal allowed against you, because that's happened to us.

1) correct
2) you've had the rub of the green (Evra pen on Ramires recently).
3) Your'e top performers are very good you've got a lot of dead wood though
4) We've fecked it -we've been the better footballing team but you need to manage games as well.
5) 10-year plan is in year 5.

9 points behind, out of CL long ago, out of the FA Cup to our third string side, but they are apparently still better than us. I would say that is impressivr.

Well if we beat you next week (which we will) it sets it up for Chelsea.

Not it doesn't. We're in a comfort zone. We'll handle your nappy wearers with ease and then beat the team we've already beaten twice this season. Simples.

For a Chelsea side that you ruled out long ago? And no it doesn't, they will have to beat us at Old Trafford where we are excellent.

Bookmarked.
2 minutes perusing a few of the threads at the top of the first page of the forum:

You''ll probably get 78 but we'll get 80+.
Really? I don't think so. We should still win the league since it was always going to come down to a face-off at our place and we're the better team.
Well Spurs is not necessarily 'our game in hand' but given that they've been spectacularly lucky in the last two I'd say it's ours.
We'll win 10 and draw 2 which is 85 points, as long as we beat you at home we'll win it.

Basically, your masterplan is to hope Mourinho doesn't come back and wait until Ferguson retires.

Genius.
