How did Lindegaard even meet Hargreaves? Wasn't Hargo constantly travelling from specialist to specialist?

He's not picking up the best of friends, is he? He'll be needing a new one again fairly soon.

Hargo was back training with the team before his season was ended by a shoulder injury.

Considering some of the haircuts Park's been sporting lately, it's not that huge a surprise.

Nordicbet offers odds 2.70 on him starting a PL match before the new year...

Not that DDG has done anything wrong but I honestly would feel more comfortable with Lindegaard in goal. He was very good tonight though his distribution is nowhere as good as DDG's.

His distribution was fine. He also looked comfortable clearing the ball with both feet. I feel very confident when he is in goal.

Was excellent tonight, having two top keepers vying for game time can't be bad as long as they are kept happy.

Good solid performance tonight, his distribution is a bit lacking though.
Agreed. Though that being said I think he was by far our best player tonight.

His distribution was mostly aimless. It wasn't horrendous or anything, but after having been used to VDS and then having DDG who is excellent on that front it was a noticeable difference.

 SAF getting pissed off

Excellent game. Looked far more convincing in his first match than PIG has looked in his entire career for us.

I was saying [in the nubes] this summer that I thought Lindegaard would win the battle over De Gea.

I don't think that anymore, because De Gea's distribution is so good that it won't matter if he's isn't quite as good at collecting crosses and shot stopping.

But I still stand by my glowing endorsement of Lindegaard, another great purchase for SAF, he was very reasonably priced.

He made some fantastic saves tonight. The few times(or maybe only once, can't remember) he played last season, he looked to be quality. Tonight's performance was no different.

We've got 2 very very good goalkeepers to use. Good times.

Disagree. Plenty of decent throws, and solid kicking with both feet. Not at the level of De Gea, but not that much different from VDS.

What is aimless distribution, anyway, Nick? Apart from the obvious?

Thank God he made it clear that de Gea is starting on Sunday.

Media have to find something new to discuss now.

Thought as the match progressed he looked calm and reassured, he was fluffing his distribution at first but pulled it together. We have a great choice of 2 keepers.

Great interview with him on ITV just now, he's on cloud 9 having just played in the CL for United, brilliant stuff, seems a great guy.

Technical Difficulties...
He was UNBELIEVABLE tonight, really good!! Benfica took the second half and we dominated the second in terms of play but I reckon overall they worked our keeper far more than we did theirs. Lindegaard dealt with the simpler stuff like crosses, catches and low shots well but also showed his class when need. Was no worries with him like Kuszczcak or Foster in the past at times.

Good performance.
