Interesting strategy from Liverpool, who, after failing to go a full season unbeaten in the league, have now pivoted and are attempting to achieve a record-breaking losing streak.

Godspeed.

They’ve now lost more games this season than United did in 1999

Let’s pray for a Simeone special and then feck them, they can have their precious league title. Everyone knows that after all the talk, if they only end up with one pot then it will be an underwhelming season.

Now I’m gassed they lost. That’s our record they were chasing and they’ve come up short.

good teams win leagues, great teams win trebles

Oh if Atlético can hold on and knock them out next week... it would be glorious.

I still think they will be too good for Atleti next week unless Simeone can pull off a masterclass.
I really don't know, they seem completely out of ideas at the moment in attack and defense. Costa should also be back, right?

The 3 best sides in prem era for me. All 3 would beat this Liverpool side
Pep's City of couple of years ago is just as good as any of them. Most wins, most points, most goals, most away wins, biggest goal difference, best title-winning margin, least time trailing... they smashed every record. The only thing is they weren't as good in Europe as, say, the terrible winners, but you need a lot of luck for that (like United needed for the final).

Liverpool haven't scored in 3 of their last 4 games. At this point I wouldn't call it a masterclass for Atlético to keep a clean sheet.

Atletico are struggling for goals and can't even beat bottom table Espanyol. They definitely need a masterclass in shithousery and another scrappy goal. Can't see them keeping another clean sheet.

This is why Klopp was getting to celebrate pointless games and by asking for the club World Cup badge to be placed on their sleeves. He wanted to instill a winners mentality into them.

I'm not saying they are favorites just that a masterclass isn't needed to beat Liverpool at the moment.

3 losses in 4 games now.

Glad they won't be winning the treble now. Just hope Atletico get in done in the second leg next week and Liverpool don't reach 100 points.

Have they been figured out or are they just tired? Robertson and TAA don't seem to be getting the acres they usually do to whip those balls in. Van Dijk also doesn't look 100%, 33 year old Giroud was playing their high line well tonight and they looked vulnerable.

I also think Salah has dropped off massively, this whole season.

3 away games tbf. They beat West Ham at home between the Atletico and Watford games.

feckin Moyes, even now he finds a way to ruin football for United fans.
Tbf he cant account for fabianskis howlers or else we would be looking at 4 straight losses
