That's not what I've been hearing, they just want attack attack attack and then deny to your face that football is not a results based sport.

And we've been having consistent 0-0 draws. Not exactly positive for results. In fact, it's part of our problem, and part of why we're going out: we've struggled to score in the competition, and would've almost certainly won some of our other games if we'd scored more.

Again, people are simply tired of the utterly turgid football we've been serving up, and of the lacks of goals. That's reasonable. We've been more positive in attack tonight, but I don't think our poor defending has been exclusively down to that; we've hardly been blazing all-out attack.

I'm glad we went down swinging tonight. If we played like this more often we may lose more games but we'd win more too.

Fuming. His cowardly spineless philosophy, his literally random substitutes, his man management..the man's a charlatan.

If we had shown this attacking intent in the first five games we'd have qualified

Its the truth though, its not childish. We have attacking football on this night and we go out in the worst way possible. Be careful what you wish for.

So, you wanted us to play a boring 0-0 draw and go out? Do some of you go over it in your head before you write it?

There's so many things wrong with this man being United manager. Get rid as soon as possible.

An unsurprising era under a manager that won most of his trophies 20 years ago. Get him out.

You do know it's possible to play attacking football without throwing everything out the window? Baffling indeed.
It is, but it makes it much harder when your only two mobile midfielders are injured.

Why didn't we play with that attacking verve against PSV at home? We'd be through now.

I've had enough of his negative tactics. Needs to be gone in the summer at the latest.

I'm on about the complaints that we're losing/playing badly, while simultaneously wanting the guy in charge sacked. Surely this is exactly the environment/pressure they want him and the club under to get those P45 cogs going.

I'd personally stick with him till the end of the season since we're still in the title race. This is pretty inexcusable though.

He'll make excuses over our injures.
Hell be right though.
Tonight wasnt the night we judge him on, its the previous CL games. The amount of glaring chances we missed and the sloppy set piece defending is more about the individual players imo

After the money we have spent the words "learning experience" should never be uttered, LVG was brought in to win and he's failed a pretty big test tonight. The group was trash and we still failed.

I'd rather go back to being solid at the back and blunt in attack. We'll concede three a game at this rate.

Someone explain the Powell substitution, it doesn't make any sense, at all. I cant get my head around it, one of the all time great mysteries

You wanted attacking football and to hell with the result as long as we attack, well here we are and the LVG out brigade still complain. If you want him out, surely this is the ideal result for you? Well done.

Do you literally do a single task everyday of your life. I.e. day 1 brush your teeth. day 2. cook breakfast. day 3. eat breakfast.

The fact that he can't build an attacking unit without massively compromising the defensive side of the team, with a massive budget and 4 transfer windows is a huge failure. They don't have to be mutually exclusive for a club of our size, ambition and budget.

That's it I'm taking a month off from watching any football. Sack the cnut.

Two young kids in defence, and the sub he made was Powell in for Mata. Every game, be makes some shit sub. I'm reaching a point where I want him gone.

Why did he take off Mata? I cannot understand the logic behind that sub.
Because not taking him off wouldn't have been completely idiotic! And Van Gaal loves to do idiotic things.

The players are not at fault in every argument you lot spout, they have been embarassing.
I agree the players have to take some of the blame but who picks them? Who reduced the squad so much that we need to start Varela and bring on players like Powell and Borthwick-Jackson in such a key game? Who keeps doing the same thing when it's clearly not working?

LVG supporters have to at least admit that he has been here for a year and a half and spent a lot of money. So, it is fair to conclude that this is his team now and he has to bear the responsibility of yet another poor result. I've been saying it since early this season, even when we had chances to go top...we aren't gonna make top 4 this season. Our squad is threadbare and our backup in some positions is comical. Now with our injuries stacking up in front of the holiday smash of games we will free fall. I hope someone higher up knows the game enough and can help the owners to understand how bizarre some of the decisions are that he has made. How can he bring on Powell on such an important night? Baffling. He has lost the plot, needs to take a large share of the blame for himself and accept that he is closer to moron than genius.

Clown. Going out so early is squarely on him. He's the one who pissed away the squad's depth and replaced it with nothing. Instead of going for it at home against PSV, he sits back like a coward.

Piss easy group he's fecked up. Real travesty was our cowardly performance to PSV at home.

Great with the fans, great with the youth. However, just an awful tactician, can't see us play competitive football under him, unfortunately.

where did the money go? problem is that we have played so shit and "got results" the 0-0's 1-1 own goals etc that mean very little , the club was fecked before and look at the side out there. injuries , yep like every yr and yes you cut out the so called dross. but to have the next level be kids who never played in CL and to have your established players not so up. it's not working. do you give him more dosh in january?

Because not taking him off wouldn't have been completely idiotic! And Van Gaal loves to do idiotic things.
Well taking him off was not even his worst decision on the night and that tells you something. I have actually started to believe that he does not know how to make subs to turn a game around. He has no clue what to do when we are chasing a game if Fellaini starts the match for us. For all his supposed tactical knowledge, his tactical ability during a match is woeful

I"m all for giving youngsters a chance, but as many have said, picking Powell over Pereira was baffling, even by his standards.

Varela, Jackson, Powell and Lingard had literally no business being on the pitch - oe even in the bench - for tonight. But the genius thought that it is a wonderful idea to sell 2/3 of the squad and replace them with just a few players. 'I want a small squad' he said.

Yea it's bit sad that he was defending our shit, boring football with great defensive play and now we look like a bunch of fecking clowns in defence who can't even get their men during corners right. Ran out of cheap, shit excuses for me tonight, think it's Moyes' tenure Everton for me lads.
