True but even if he did, would he be of the standard of the others? Hard for someone to justify dropping players like the ones we have and just put faith in a younger player who has a sketchy goal record, though if anyone would do it, it would be Van Gaal I think. Him deciding to move him on probably just means he doesn't think he has enough to be world class.
Though judging from the pressers and reports, he seems to rate Wilson highly so maybe he thinks he's a better option long term.

That was a nice press conference. Cleared up his thoughts on Welbeck, praising Falcao and Blind, promising spots for the youth/juice (whichever you want to believe in), and a light hearted moment at the end. Also said that it's going to take time to get this team playing the way he wants. At least, we seem to be having a plan. Did he say anything about Rafael?
