Everyone who thought Bailly is the better Cb will find out soon enough.

He is not good enough to play on a regular basis, he is way too rash and cannot keep concentration for a full game.

We are lucky Maguire will miss PL games that don't really matter.

If anyone genuinely thinks Bailly is the better CB they need an MRI to check for worms eating their brains.

Not long ago on here was Maguire the worst CB. This season he has really grown into the role and even becoming a leader back there.

Whether people like it or not, he is also a calming influence at the back, we saw yesterday Bailly and Tuanzebe kept losing their positions,

I genuinely think Lindelof will step up and have a great game in the final if Harry is missing. He gets insane amounts of disrespect from the Caf but he is a much more composed defender than Bailly or Tuanzebe and he has some leadership qualities. I think he would relish being the senior partner at the back and at the end of the day, much as we would miss Harry, we are not exactly facing Kane or Haaland in the final.

I agree, Lindelof's game suits the more continental game anyway so playing Villareal without Maguire shouldn't be hard however; it is a final and having a leader and calm CB at the back will be required.

Like you said, Lindelof can do it, its just we looked a bit rash with Tuanzebe and Bailly.

Such a rubbish article. “He might be fit for the final, if the injury isn’t too serious”. Thanks for the specialist input!
No specialist will opine with certainty if they aren’t the ones specifically dealing with the situation. Even then I doubt any would due to the vagaries each injury inherently has.

The article adds context & potentiality. The part about recurrence was enlightening.

Apologies if that came across as me having a go at you for sharing it! Just think it’s a cheeky bit of clickbait by MEN. Here’s an expert opinion on Harry Maguire’s injury which contains absolutely no new information on Harry Maguire’s injury!

Didn’t think that in the slightest!

It did scream a little certainty via the headline, then just added to the subjectivity.

Maguire being out is going to probably finally get him the respect he's been lacking from some fans. He'll be sorely missed, doesn't mean we won't go on to win every game for the rest of the season, we easily could, but I'm we're obviously a better more solid team with him.

It certainly was clickbaity! I'd have given a better interview on the subject and I was only an internet doctor!

Where in big trouble without him in the final that defence is shockingly poor without him.

Let’s give some game time to Axel in the EPL games so we can start him in the final please.

Bailly is too much of a wild card to start in a final.

Without Harry we have such a drop on performance levels. I would even go for Jones on the final if he were match fit (which he isnt).

If he has done his ligaments then he is not going to be fit and Ole should have enough sense to know this and not risk putting him on the pitch next week

I think it's obvious he won't be ready and it'll be much harder without him against Villarreal. Ole shouldn't and won't risk him, especially with Euros coming up in June.

I don't think Maguire will make it, such rotten luck to miss a final from an innocuous challenge.

I'm seriously worried about the final now, I just don't trust any combination of Bailly, tuanzebe and lindeloff

I'll be surprised if he's even ready for the start of the euros. No chance next Wednesday.

He is a huge miss.

To think alot of United fans rate Lindelof, Bailly and even Tuanzebe higher than him. :houllier:

Sadly for him I think he will be a big doubt for the Euros as well..

No surprise when you consider he is our Captain.

He's always talking and shouting instructions from the back.

Take him out of the team and you not only lose a solid, reliable performer but a leader too.

This is quite refreshing to see. He might not have been everyone's choice for captain but since he has got the armband, he has grown into it.

We can see that from his leadership and performances now. He is becoming a very important player for us.

We can only see what the injury is like near the time. He'll be wrapped and not putting any weight on it until the very last moment he can be ready to be in a final. I very much doubt he'll make it but he was back quick with that hip injury and only missed a league cup game.

Biggest worry for him is he does some light training, everything seems fine and 30 mins into the game he breaks down with a more serious problem and misses the Euros and start of next season.

If he's not fit for the Euro's it's not the end of the world he could do with the rest this summer anyway.

Seems someone was giving him the 2 fingers from the crowd when he was crutching off at full time yesterday.

People never fail to amaze me. Been waiting to watch a game at Old Trafford for more than a year, and you spend the last of it abusing your club captain who is injured and trying to get fit for the final. fecking idiots.

Christ I hope hes ok for the final.

If he does miss the final I really dont want to see him playing for England at the Euros. Couldnt care less how they get on and dont want him being anything less than 100% for the turnaround time in games in a tournament and risking further injury. Rather he spent the summer recovering.

As long as opposition has no 2m tall striker/defender, Lindelof is OK.
