They're coming to the P. Depends on if you know someone at Nike. The last time they were here they was some club youth championship tourny going on at the same time. I got a wristband to get in from a mate who works out at Nike. Kell's usually does private do for them upstairs.
My roommates work at Nike :) I have to make this happen.

I went to Bayern Munich game in Chicago seven years ago and tickets were $35 each, and they were easy to get as they were empty seats at the game. It was a crap game that ended 0-0 and we lost on penalties but I was very excited to see Ferdinand and Butt walk just a few yards in front of me.
I was at that game too, first row seats, crap game, but all the players walking by right in front of me, priceless.

I am going to the Boston game. Who else is going?

Having a seat in the upper area 300 section is crap due to the large amount of luxury boxes between 100 and 300 level.

That'll be the same for all the MLS season ticket holders. Plus I'm not sure if ST holders get a chance to buy more tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Seattle has 30k+ ST holders which take up pretty much the who lower section of Qwest Field, if they get to buy extras then that could fill up the rest of the stadium and not leave a whole lot left for everyone else.
Last time I saw them in Seattle they opened up the top deck. I drive up and got a ticket up there, but it wasn't worth it. It was a hell of a long way away, and could barely make out who was who, plus they fielded some no names. Who the hell is this Fletcher kid? Kieran who??

Anyway, if you can't get a ticket on the lower deck, I'd save the money, throw it into a high yield fund, and in a few years you can jet off to OT.

Its easy to say that when you live within an hour or two of places that they play frequently when they come to the US.

I just wish they'd give different parts of the US a chance to see the team. As it sits, to travel to NYC and stay there and see what is essentially the reserves playing an exhibition match would only cost about $1000 less than seeing the first team at Old Trafford. I can't justify that much expense for what it is. If United were to come to Atlanta on the other hand, I could get there, see the game and stay as long as I want for a grand total of about $150 and I'd do it happily.

As far as facilities for whoever made that excuse, the GA Dome has sold out 71,000+ seats for AC Milan, Manchester City, Club America, Mexico, Bosnia, etc and was one of the proposed host cities for the US in our recent World Cup bid.

It's not as if I'm unwilling to travel - Atlanta is exactly the same distance (to the mile) from me as Manchester is from London. For me to get to New York is roughly the same as traveling from London to Milan. More than anything, it's just frustrating that they come to my country, but time and time again they're still so far away.

I don't want them in the US at all! I want them to stay in England and get healthy. That being said, there is no reason they can't play in different cities. Almost every NFL stadium in world class and has world class training facilities. What they get in Philly will be what they see in 25 other American cities.

I was there, Kells got 50 tickets and we had good seats. I'm working on tickets but it likely won't be on the lower level.

I'm planning to go to that one too, I just wrote to ask about the sale of tickets. Have you got any idea when?

I was wondering the same about the Chicago game, when tickets go on sale, whether anyone's coming down from Canada, whether there will be a block of tickets, etc.

But Boston's Just as close to me as Chicago and I have never been Boston.

where did you hear that 77?

From a mate who's a Sounders ST holder.

Then there's this... so not only are there 30k+ ST ticket holders that get a ticket but they're selling 3 game packages to ST holders also.

If anyone knows when the Washington game tickets go on sale, yet me know, most likely venturing down from Canada,
Soon as I know I will send your way GP11, as I will be venturing down aswell.

Im trying to remember when tickets for the Toronto friendly went on sale, it was in July and I think it went on sale Mar-May sometime. Can't remember though sadly.

EDIT: just looking on ticketmaster, sale for NE revolution and Chicago Fire go onsale in april so Washington should follow in there.

The Toronto game went on sale on May 20, and the game was on July 16.

Anyways, looks lie they will go on sale near the end of april, plus the stadium is huge, so getting tickets and the price should be reasonable.

Yep, I'll probably drive down for the weekend, looking at hotels there were some decent choices in the heart of DT for cheap. Most likely as everyone will be going to warmer climates/overseas than to the capital.

Makes sense for it to go onsale closer to May then and as you said its a large venue so tickets should be easy to get. Do I dare suggest a cafe meet and greet over some pints?

I am most likely to bus it down, as its really cheap and might not even need a place to stay, depending on the time of the game.

true, though from what I've heard Washington is a pretty nice place, lots of sightseeing and good places to eat.

I've been to Chicago, another fabulous city but cant afford both and with United playing Barca in Washington that pushed it over the edge for me.

You should come then. :) I read somewhere in the news tickets are open to season-ticket holders on April 4, and then to the public on April 23rd.

I feel for Miami, great city, the rest is just meh so I think United did the right thing. Could never see them in Atlanta :D

just kidding mate!
I'd think the Glazers could at least have them come play in their own state once, but no. Worthless feckers.

To be fair, regarding Detroit, it's a great sports city. In the past 7 years, they've hosted the Super Bowl, the NCAA basketball Final Four, the World Series, the NBA Finals, and the NHL Finals. I don't know if another city can say that they've hosted all of those in a 10 year span. It's actually kind of strange that they never got an MLS team, because they have a pretty nice history with the game, getting a US and also a Brazil game among the 4 hosted there in the 94 World Cup, as well as hosting England-Germany in the 93 US Cup (I think it was called).

I'll admit that I'm biased, having grown up an hour North of Detroit. While the city itself does have some major problems, it does a fantastic job at hosting major sporting events. And it has 3 nice, big casinos in the city, with legalized prostitution and a 19 year old drinking age just across the river in Canada.

well said there, as far as sporting events, teams and history it is right up there. However I wonder if the problems the city has and its reputation discourages too many suitors. Mates were telling me that when you go to Comerica Park, once the game is done you go right to your hotel and dont come out at night. Another mate said he was walking the street at 2 am and ducked into a gas station to avoid a gang only for a shootout to open up at said gas station and he was literly shitting himself.

Are you in Miami right now then MS?

Yes, I live in Miami.

Yeah, you certainly don't want to hang around in Detroit at night much. The problems with the city haven't discouraged the Super Bowl and Final Four. However, I'm sure that it discourages someone like United going there. It's not something that cities put together a big pitch for, and all kinds of incentives, etc. like a SB or FF. And I'm sure the team wouldn't be too keen on visiting there. So I don't blame them for not going to Detroit, especially when Chicago is a MUCH better city to visit in the Midwest.

Went to the Toronto one last year was good stuff. Will try to goto the DC one this summer.

Just keep in mind with Copa America being played July 1 - 24 July there's a good chance Valencia and Chicharito won't be on the tour, possibly Anderson and the twins if they get called up for Brazil as well.

Barcelona likely won't have Messi there either.

got some friends that have bought their tix on presale for the DC game. they're available to redksins fans (and maybe a few select others, not sure).
one guy told me he paid $140 for each ticket but I won't know till tomorrow where the seats are for that price. I'd imagine it's on the subs bench.

It looks like you can order them now if you pay with an American Express. But trying to get into the west section is a pain, it keeps wanting to throw me into the Barca end...

Damn it! I might have to take another flight to go see the United V Barca game on July 30. I don't want to take the public transit because it might take me over 5 or 6 hours to get there.

You can buy tickets now for the Barca match in the United supporters section by using the special presale code SIRALEX at ticketmaster.com. (Password curtosy of OneUnitedUSA). Don't have to be a member to use this password... it works for anyone.

For the other Americans on here, how long does it take to get from NY to Maryland?
Keep an eye on traffic - I'd fly if you have the money, that way you can enjoy a frothy beverage or 6!!!

Anyone ever done the expensive tickets where you get to watch them practice the day before? Any chance of meeting the players/autographs?
