it'll look pretty decent when it's on the players and in your hands im sure.

Only question is where will be cheapest to get an official top?
And which name on the shirt? A current player or hold off for a galactico?

I'm going to get 20 of them, all with Vidal on the back. But I'm going to get them without the number. I'll wait until he officially gets a number. Wouldn't want to look like an idiot...

I'm slightly uncomfortable about whether a guy in his 30s, who doesn't play any football anymore is allowed to get a replica shirt....but if everyone on here says it's ok i'll go for it.

I'm not one of those 10stone overweight types at least

Even the logo doesn't look that bad now. Best kid we've had in a long time IMO.

Yeah i love it, i'm neither here nor there with the logo, i prefer it to the ugly AIG of a few years back anyway. Like the white on the end of the sleeves.

The home kit is really, really nice. Love it.

The away kit - not so much.

Was saying the same earlier. I've never liked any of our white kits. Black and to an extent blue have looked classy over the years, much prefer them to white.

I remember when the leaks first started to come out I was one of (felt like the only one) who was telling people the logo won't look bad at all and it's just that it's a big change. Now everyone is seeing the light, I actually think the colour of the logo suits the shirt with the badge.

Said the same thing. Our white kits are dreadful. I agree with what you say about the black or blue kit.

It's basically the 2011/12 kit with Chevrolet rather than Aon.

Do we have to have the Gold cross? Wouldn't look bad if it was just the word ''Chevrolet''

Yeah it wouldn't, but this all comes down to branding for Chevrolet and how much money they are paying us to be our shirt sponsor. If they want to put their big ugly gold cross on the shirts there's nothing we can do about it really. It is not that great to look at but I think we'll get used to it over time.

The Chevrolet employee that was in charge of the deal got fired because he didn't include the entire logo in the original agreement.

Wait, so we are not getting this awful gold logo on our shirt? Or did the deal get changed to include it? Where did you hear this?

That's not why he was fired; it had to do with the way the deal was structured and approved.

57 million a year, suck it up gents because it goes a long way to getting rid of this fecking debt that's hanging over us due to the late Uncle Malcolm. If we win trophies in it people will soon stop caring, see AIG.

No he got fired and then Chevy changed the original agreement to include the logo according to a few articles.

Within days after his dismissal, GM expanded the partnership to include the right for Chevrolet to display its logo on the team's jerseys, which was not part of the original agreement that Mr. Ewanick inked.

Among the criticisms of the transaction was that the sponsorship did not appear to include Chevrolet’s name on the jerseys of the soccer club’s players. Unlike the major American sports, advertising is a prominent feature of soccer uniforms, giving the sponsors what are essentially kicking and running billboards for television cameras and photographers.

That logo is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

Wish I could buy a jersey in the next few years..but that's not going to happen with that hideous logo.

The first quote says expanded to include the logo and second quote says did not appear to include Chevrolet's name on the jersey. So what was going to be on it?
Not sure, lots of conflicting reports but appears he wasn't fired just because of the kit deal. You can do some digging yourself. The long story appears more complicated than I thought.

I was thinking Woodward somehow managed to get a sponsorship deal that didn't allow them to put anything on the kit. Would have been pure genius.

I treated myself & rented a Chevy Camaro while on holiday recently & it was the fecking massive & awesome so I quite like the sponsor.
Did the massive sponsorship deal include free cars for fans that buy the shirt or did they just give free Chevy's to players that can already afford to buy ten a week? Not fair.
