You gotta love Fergie, get over run in Europe midweek because you were too attacking so he goes and names 3 Forwards in the next team sheet.

CONFIRMED MUFC XI:

de Gea

Jones
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Welbeck
Carrick
Scholes
Young

Rooney
Hernandez

SUBS: Amos, Rafael, Cleverley, Pogba, Giggs, Park, Berbatov.

I guess Rooney and Welbeck will alternate dropping off to the wing though.

Mostly harmless
So instead of playing Park, Giggs or even Rafael on the wing, we play Welbeck?

Hope for the best. We should beat them.

Young does most of his good work from the left. Not sure how we are lining up for this.

Minor issue's but i'm not pleased about Welbeck on the left, and think Hernandez is extremely lucky not to of been dropped with them form he's in.

Hope we smash them and get Pogba on second half just to confuse the feck out of everyone.

Where are people picking up these rumours that Nani is injured ?
MUTV's Stewart Gardener. Not exactly rocket science though. He was rested midweek so its safe to assume he's injured.

I've just seen a tweet (you know, unconfirmed etc.) that Anderson is out for the rest of the season.

I don't know who's that person, someone has retweeted it. Wait for Sean or wr8 to confirm if it's their 'reliable' source.

I posted this in the Bilbao thread thinking we might try it there. Just put in Nani for Young, Carrick for Fletcher and Scholes for Park.

It would be interesting to see us play Welbeck, Rooney and Chicharito again, I thought it worked quite well against Sunderland in the 1-0 at OT, I think that's the only time we tried it. It was a strange set up, this is what the average position looked like:

.................34.................
...................................... [goal line]
......................................
.........................5...........
...........15.......................
.................24.................
.....4...............10....3...... [mid field]
.........................13.........
..........14................19.....
.......17...........................

Looking at that I'd guess we played a 433:

Jones Vidic Rio Evra
Fletcher
Rooney Park
Nani Chicharito Welbeck

We could try something similar again today, play Rio and Rooney but rest Young and Scholes.

Jones Evans Rio Evra
Carrick
Rooney Giggs
Nani Chicharito Welbeck
