At some stage you have to ask - why are so many players we buy turning to complete shit?
This is a question I'd like to know the answer to.
They start well, then 2-3 games into their United career, their skill level plummets.

Is it possible every manager, player, and otherwise person involved with United is taking the piss because they're sick of United's achievements? I honestly can't think of any other reason we'd be this collectively shit.

We just need a jammy goal or two from somewhere...

Happy with that. You guys edging it but given the teams I'd have taken it at the start. Impressed with young Maffeo despite him getting caught out a couple of times positionally, coping well with Rashford. Aleix Garcia looking good in midfield too. We've created little but had a couple of decent positions on the counter.

You guys controlling the better part of it but looking a little toothless. think Ibra is eventually going to get the ball to Rashford right at some stage, he did once already. tighter game than I was expecting so I'm happy enough. United midfield should be bossing ours though and aren't as dominant as they should be.

    HT recap:

    - we should fire the idiot who turned the pitch into a pond.
    - Carrick has been soft as feck and also rusty, should be subbed
    - Pogba has been awful
    - Zlatan has been awul
    - not a single shot on target for both sides that I can recall
    - hard game to watch for a neutral, not to mention United fan.
    - looking at the the benches - it will hardly get better for us.

He runs like a fat piglet. What's happened to him?
He literally snapped his leg in half and missed a year of football, that's what happened to him. Adrenalin was always going to get him through when he first returned, but a dip in form was inevitable. He'll come good, but it will take a while yet.

Zlatan looks like he couldn't give a shit and Pogba tries doing the impossible rather than simple stuff.

    Annoying.

Good half from Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Valencia, Rojo.

Hopefully the other players (Pogba & Zlatan especially) can pick it up in the second half and we should win this.

The passing in this game has been shocking from both teams, tbh.

Also, why is it so slippery? The commentator on my stream said that there hasn't ben raining in Manchester today. Was he lying?
Probably sprayed too much water to make city passing useless. But then again it effects us too.

Well, both teams have tried to attack and had chances to score.
MCFC certainly aren't playing us off the park, as some on this forum would have us believe.
Not from 20mins on maybe, City still the greater threat but they have space to break into now it is more even.

We move the ball so slowly that we should be called slothchester united. Initially in some games we passed so well and quickly and we all thought wow its a change from Lvg now we pass similarly to his philosophy.
Slow slow slow passing. Maybe mou doesnt play mkhitarayan because he is above our players level and will look shit playing in such slow paced team. Too many walkers not many runners.

Pretty poor quality from both sides, we did create a couple of decent openings but the front 3 is not really offering much.

Herrera, mata and rojo have been very good.

Shaw needs minutes as he looks very unfit. Zlatan needs retiring, it's that bad lately I'd be happy for Rooney to replace him. Even feckin Romero would be an upgrade.

Two teams evenly balanced. It will come down to luck whoever makes the breakthrough. Hopefully luck will be on our side.

Jose in changing room must surely be thinking is this the worst team I have ever managed. Shower of shite. Average Square pegs in worse round holes. He needs to sort it out, at least play players in their favored positions.

It's been decent from what I've seen. Rashford ought to have scored, dithered too long after a sublime pass from Ibrahimovich.

We're becoming spoilers of the game. Not the kind of reputation we want.
    Definitely not.

It's kind of difficult to maintain the image of club if we become known as producers of consistent shit and dull football. I mean we're kind of already there.

I get the defence is a mess, but I can't help but feel if we did the basics of dropping the out of form, resting the over played and played players in their preferred positions this team could be completely different.

Also, candice has the bake off in the bag I reckon. Did since she started wearing shorter skirts. Paul likes that.

Zlatan has been awful so far - worse than Rooney's performances this season. If we don't play with Rashford/Martial upfront, we are going to struggle this season.

League cup final vs spurs,09 I guess.

After that we lost to Everton FA cup semi-09
    Sunderland-League cup semifinal 2013
Middlesborough last season in league cup
In 2014, Man Utd defeated Inter Milan 5-3 on penalties. It was a friendly though......
    Thanks folks.

That might have something to do with Aguero, KDB, Silva, Gundogan, Fernandinho not starting for them. Just like we rested Zlatan, Pogba, Rashford, Mata ... oh wait.

I can't remember why I joined this war.
The thing that really bugs me is why Pogba is the players furtherest up the pitch and Ibra, whose passing has been shite, drops deep to play the false 9? Say what you will but this really seems like a stupid idea.

Does anyone know how much a pundit is paid to appear on Sky? Doesn't Phil Neville travel over from Spain to do these? Mustn't be too shabby if so.

As for Pogba. Let me guess, it's the wrong position for him to be playing in?
We need to play him as a defensive midfielder. Failing that, maybe in defence. Failing that, just put him in goal. :p

Kelechi should've scored. They've had the best chance of the match so far.

Hope we manage to lift ourselves for the second half. They have plenty of players on the bench that can make the difference.

Ugh. Give me Park, Fletch, O Shea and Hernanzez any day over this lot. None of them give a fecking shite.
