Can't imagine "fans" wanting the team to lose so Ole gets sacked. On the other hand, if losing today would result in Eddie and the board getting sacked...... I don't ever want us to lose......but I understand.

First time probably ever I'm not really arsed about a Derby. Win or lose we aren't going anywhere currently. Always a big step forward and than around five steps backwards.

Sorry just couldn't help this. We need some humour sometimes. So We Can Call It The Ole Shuffle?

We have Fernandes, fred who was wanted by city, pogba and van der beek all in midfield, then there is there is maguire who ole was happy to splash 80 million on because he supposedly good in possession of the ball and he also favoured lindelof over smalling because of the same reason but come kick off ole will set us formation wise and tactically as if we dont have the players to compete with man city in terms of winning the battle to control and dictate the tempo of the match.

If the ‘best team’ wins today, it’s City all day long. However, if we defend like our lives depend on it and get a break away, we might snatch it.

Dreading this. My enjoyment has been totally sapped from football at the moment. Totally disillusioned at the moment with the beautiful game.

I'm with you. There's bugger all else on the telly so I've jacked in my subscriptions and licence. It'll save a couple of things........a bucket of dosh and my sanity!

You want the next guy because you believe that everything will suddenly be great. When it's not you'll be stamping your feet for the next one because that one will definitely sort everything. Rinse and repeat.

Not true. I wanted LvG to be given another season after winning The FA Cup and utilising young talents like Rashford and Martial well. And he gave chances to our Academy players. I think he deserved one final season to see if he could build on winning The FA Cup.

Like Ole, I wanted Mourinho out in his 3rd season. From around the time we exited The CL at the hands of Sevilla, his time at the club was beginning to come to the end. The toxic side of things was becoming apparent. His relationship with the club and his players was beyond repair by late 2018, so it was in the best interest of everyone that he leave.

I know that nothing is guaranteed with any new appointment. But you can't just sit still and hope that Ole will eventually turn into a top coach. It doesn't work like that. He was never qualified to manage us in the first place. Whoever takes over next will at least have a better chance of doing something with this squad than Ole currently is. There is talent to work with. A better coach can extract more.

Will probably lose this by at least 3 or 4. They have players that can actually finish unlike West Ham and Southampton. Wouldn't surpise me if we concede 3 or 4 in the 1st half with how our current form in the 1st half of matches has been.

    I have a similar feeling.

Expecting to be going 2-0 down and trying to get back in it. If we can get a win then great but I'm not nervous like you would be before a big game.

I think the CL antics of not subbing Fred, having AWB in a three at the back and no Donny vs Leipzig, the bonkers subs of Shaw Telles and Williams in the same game, the comical way we lost in Istanbul having done so well in the first two games has really knocked me down on Ole.

Im betting on that we will play safe in the first with mct and fred protecting the back four and hopefully nick a goal on a counter. Its the typical Ole tactic and works against these type of teams.

Just need Harry and Victor on the their top today and pray our strikers have their aim with them.

Take losing 4 games on the bounce? Wow....

Show how much I don't rate Ole.

I would take the pain of losing a few games if it means a brighter future 12 months from now.

At the moment, all I can see is the current trend of false dawns continuing under Ole.

I'm getting fatigued by all these games now, cant even be bothered to watch and it's a derby

Maybe we'll throw caution to the wind and come out of the traps fast for this, instead of waiting for the 2nd half.

    I'm still going for a 2-2 draw.

This means more to pep than Ole right now. Can see ole counter them well. And the misery prolonged a few more months. But derby is a derby. Onwards

Piece I done on the game... Really think anything can happen here - tough one to call.

I have read some of your pieces that you have uploaded on your Instagram account, and I wanted to say that it's always been a pleasure to read your analysis.

It's always well thought-out and detailed and in my opinion it's refreshing to read that than the endless cynical posts about the state of the club recently. Carry on the good work that you and your team have been doing.

You wanted to keep by far the worst of the lot. If gets as bad as LVGs last season it will be a no brainer to change.

    That's why everyone is different!

I could see what LvG was trying to do. The clearest style out of all our post Ferguson managers. His loyalty to Rooney was his biggest flaw. And it didn't help that he had to work with a very green Woodward compared to the one Ole deal with now, who even now is still subpar at his job (football side).

An occasional rout like the late 5-0 flurry against Leipzig blinds many into thinking Ole is some sort of attacking maverick. The reality is that we are a very patchy team who can range from 0/10 to 10/10 in any given 5 minute spell of a game. We are bipolar. He has had just as long as LvG has had. He also needs to go.

    A Bipolar football team?

    That's original.

Lets down tools everytime we dont like a manager, in no way will our club become a toxic shit hole because of it..

I mean the opposite could be ‘let’s blindly back a manager who isn’t up to the task’. (Not me indicting Ole, just criticising your position)

Real Madrid must wish that they were nicer than us.

Oh wait, they couldn't give a feck. They have 13 European Cups to our 3 for reasons like this. Ruthless.

You don't have to abuse Ole at the stadium, but it doesn't mean you have to follow him off a cliff either.

Having some perspective and common sense makes you a troll? Yes we know the standards but this squad is not the finished article. No one is happy with CL exit but we had an absolute killer group. Our squad is still relatively young in comparison to our rivals. You have to take the ups and downs that come when you’re relying on 19 and 23 year olds in Rashford and Greenwood to lead your attack.

This squad will never be the finished article. There will always be an excuse.
In Ole's first (half) season, the problem was fitness.
Ole got a Summer to get them fit.
The players started the season terribly. Apparently Ole worked them too hard during the Summer.
The excuse of fitness went out the window.
We continued to play badly (mid table team) until Bruno arrived who single handedly pushed us up the table.
Our 3rd place finish was down to Bruno....not Ole or any tactics.
Then this Summer happened and we started the season again, playing badly.
New excuses were made - it's because of our EL campaign. Yes that's the reason.
Always a new excuse for failure.

Regarding the age issue - if a manager senses that the attackers are 2-3 years away from prime-time it is his duty to buy in a couple of experienced attackers who can bridge that time gap. We bought Cavani, but he has a history of injuries. We bought a player from China, too, who just isn't good enough to play in the EPL.
Our squad is ridiculously expensive and the wage bill is sky high, yet the performances on the pitch do not reflect this expense.
Meanwhile our former manager has his new team in 1st place. People on this forum are now claiming that Spurs' squad is better than ours!!! Absolutely shocking.

What will be the new excuse in a few months time, I wonder?

Or lets support the team so they can perform in the best environment they can and make a calaculated decision when the time comes?
We could go 5 points above City and really cement ourselves as title contenders with a win today but fans want to ignore that just because they dont rate Ole.
    It does not make sense.

You seem to be making excuses against what Ole has done well here which is just as bad.

    Nice one mate

City is unpredictable as well. We are in 4 wins. As long as the belief is there, it should be fine.

So are we. No one knows which United will turn up. We do not have a clue as to how we will play. So if our own players and manager do not have a clue sure as heck the opposition has no clue either.

Who is going to sack Ed and the board ?.
Lose today, nobody is being sacked. Wanting your club to lose under any conditions, is just wrong.

Opted for James as wide forward together with Rashford, and Martial upfront. A bit of a gamble of course. We need a striker off the bench and Greenwood is a bit weak defensively out wide. James hasn't played for a while and is good on the counter as a left sided forward. No complaints if Greenwood starts who is a superior player of course.
