Hair dryer time. Welbeck or Giggs to replace Park after 65 mins.

This reminds me of the first half from the Bolton game in march.
This has been worse than our performance against Wolves when the Bebe played.

Anyway I'm sure there is no way we can play even half as bad as that in the 2nd half.

Giggs and Carrick on for Park and Fletcher please

Glasgow resident these days.
Yet again, our midfield has offered nothing going forward. Anderson, Park and Fletcher don't have a killer ball in them. Nani is starting to try to hard to make something happen but is losing it all the time. Rooney is coming deeper to get the ball and Chicarito is not timing his runs. Sloppy and very poor going forward. Can only get better in the 2nd half.

Hernandez was also offside a lot last season and his passing and first touch was also a bit crap. But he provided goals and that's what matters. He only needs to beat the defender with a run once in a game.

Very frustrating to watch. Norwich have done well with what we have managed to put together, and it hasn't exactly been tiring for them to do it either so it won't be a case of waiting for fitness to be the difference.

9 pages at half time in a matchday thread. must be an all time low.

I can't pinpoint what's wrong though. It just seems to be that we can't find ideas quickly enough, and take that fraction of a second more to find a run, and by that time a Norwich defender, credit to them, has either read it or marks close and puts in a tackle.

Just feel we're mentally lacking sharpness and not finding ideas quickly enough.

Norwich City fans support their local team, do they want a medal for that or why do they sing that all the time?

Woeful passing in that half, its walking pace stuff at the moment too. Norwich have stuck to their task but we haven't really done anything to threaten them despite being camped in their half.

Very poor first half from us. Very disjointed and laborious.

this will be a ugly win if we were to grab the 3 points.

There doesn't seem to be any real urgency. There also seems to be a few sloppy passes and extremely ambitious ones where we seem hopeful the ball will go through 3 Norwich players.

What we need is fear outside the box. Players that can shoot. Nani has to cut in to do that. There's only him and Rooney. Anderson, Carrick and Fletcher pose no threat what so ever. They're so often in shooting positions but don't get the ball because what's the point.

anderson is having a poor game, his passing not working at all.

I personally don't think he'll make a difference. The whole team is playing shot right now.
Anything is better than watching Fletcher receive the ball and then look around for 5 seconds before lumping it forward or just giving it away.

Young should have been playing today. Park is not going to help you break down defenses.

Watch him score now

Bring Daniel on for Park, he played on the left a lot for Sunderland last season and will give us great pace.

He's the exact sort of player we're missing right now. We're not dynamic enough in midfield and with his ability to play quick one-twos he can sort that out.

We don't look that bad, they have offered little going forward barring the hoof-ball to the lone striker. So long as the two centre-halves don't nod off we shouldn't concede. Just need a bit of luck in the final third, they have defended well, but also done a great deal of running off the ball. Hopefully this will begin to show in the second half and we should get that extra half yard of space we need to exploit for a goal.

Ooh, a look back at all the first half highlights after the break. This is where the video editor chap earns his money.

And importantly, he and Anderson seem to have a great chemistry.

Our trouble lies in our play in the final third tbh. the midfield's been okay. its the final ball thats missing. rooney needs to step up. park, sorry to say, looks poor atm. giggs should come on imo

they give us some nervous moment in defence during the first 20 minutes....our defence still don't look convincing.

and never expect us to struggle to break them down.

Why are we playing Rafa's Level 2 football?

Midfield been okay? Fletcher and Anderson have been very poor.

We miss the Ando-Cleverley partnership.
