Manchester United vs Rayo Vallecano (Sun 31st July, 16:00 UK time) | Happy King (Bebe) Day

Gnarcho is special.

He should be the backup in the squad. Might be young, but he is capable of 10-15 games this year?

Pretty shite game to be fair. I love Martinez - he looks great. Garner is not the answer to our midfield problems. Laird and Chong are not good enough.

Probably need to reduce the size of the pitch at OT for the pressing to work.

Not seeing it with Laird.
Nor me. He’s had a few decent championship loans so there is the possibility of getting a respectable fee for him when the time comes to sell

Fecks sakes. Almost conceded again.

Come on ETH, put some of the other guys on. Want to win

My favourite part of pre season is commentators talking about subs and how difficult it is to remember players in every single game like they’re saying something new and informative every time and that everybody at home enjoys the lols.

As much as I rate ETH this squad is mid-table quality, it really is. My expectations for the season are low.

We are absolutely walked through in midfield and let's be honest we have been for most of pre season. Its shocking that the midfield hasn't been addressed

I’d take Bebe over Chong. He’s been absolutely hopeless. Martinez looks a rolls Royce though.

Based on what we just saw in the posts the goal was caused by Telles, Laird, Varane and Maguire. Damn.
Maguire has done a particularly impressive job of being at fault for a goal in a game where he's not even in the matchday squad.

Our academy lads are so overrated. So little quality with most of them.

Laird looks an example of where we should loan to Championship level and hopefully sell high if he stays fit. We need to be more astute with the sales of our academy products.

Not an easy watch, but its a friendly and United played yesterday, so it was always going to be a bit scatter-gun all over the place with players and changes.

Agreed, from what I've seen we get opened up way too easily and often from the games I've seen.
