This is the type of match we've been dropping points in this season. I'll go for a 2-1 to United

When was the last time we destroyed a team in the League ?

    I mean scoring 3-4-5 goals ?

I would love to trash them, but I think that we'll "only" score 1 or 2.

Hope that Martial, Mata and Mkhi will all start this game with hopefully Valencia and Shaw

Leicester earlier in the season I guess? 4 ahead at half time.

Not expecting a massively high score sunderland will sit deep and try and soak it all up with the occasional venture forward. Should be a comfortable win in the end but maybe a 2 - 0 like against the Baggies.

Yeah, you're right, but to me it was more like against Blackburn a few years back... We destroyed them for first to last min.

I agree with you with the 2-0

I've got nothing against Moyes;he was totally out of his depth and it wasn't his fault the board appointed him but there are other teams with horrible managers I'd rather smash: Pardew,Rogers,Warnock,Allardyce when he was around

Is Shaw injured or why's he not making the starting XI?
Think he is injured again but he hasn't been the same since his leg break to be honest. Lets hope he gets back to his best over time.

One of the worst sides out there. Hoping for a 4-0 win. Can't see anyone in there team that can hurt us as I think they'll play one upfront and Rojo-Jones will handle Defoe

Been dreading this one - please United, just smash them, absolutely fecking smash them I'm begging you, I can't cope with the Moyes smugness afterwards if there's any other result.

Can we get Paddy Power to have the Grim Reaper back for this game? It was awesome the last time around...
I do remember when the grim reaper was sit in the front row of MUFC matches when Moyes was in charge. It was quite funny. Moyes must've felt very uncomfortable during those games.
The thing with Sunderland though, is that their aspirations are so low, that being 3rd from bottom, Moyes' job is safe.
Now, by the time we play Sunderland again, Moyes should beon his last legs and we should definitely bring the grim reaper with us for that game :D

The best way to get to Moyes is to absolutely hammer Sunderland for the full 90 minutes. I am hoping for at least 5 goals here.

Is Mkhitaryan back for this one?
We won't find out for sure until match day, but about a week ago, Jose predicted that Miki will be available on Boxing day.
At best: he'll get some game time and will probably start on the bench.
At worst: he won't even be on the bench.

I'm not a fan of Moyes, never was sold on his appointment and his relentless articles slagging us since then haven't helped. However, I don't want this to be some personal grudge match for our players. I want them to focus on executing Jose's plan and getting those 3 points.

I ll take 1-0 with a goal from a corner that deflects of beach ball into john o shea and loops over the keeper into the goal.
To be fair that sounds brilliant, I'll take one of those too.

The win and the three points are all we're after here, however it would be nice to romp home and ensure Moyes can't come out with any of his classic lines regarding his tenure with us.

I know a win is all we really need but looking at our goal difference a 5-0 would do us the world of good, could be like getting a bonus point.

I think we're going to win bigly. 4-0, with Mkhitaryan running the show.
Am I the only one nervous about this one?
We have been playing well, yes. We are on a bit of a run, yes. But we are yet to start scoring freely. Plus, we drew the last three such games, against Burnley, stoke and west ham.
There are so many things pinned on this game, we have turned the corner and this is the perfect opportunity to smash them and make a statement, etc etc. I feel I will be nervous and shitting bricks till we get a two goal lead.
Really really need to win the next two league games. Put some pressure on the top 4.

I just hope we can score early to open up the game, and then we can score a few more.

We have a better team, they have a much better (Champions League quality) manager. Should be close.

Easy win that. Boro may prove a bit difficult though, they tend to defend well in away games.

I would be very important to think about the team too knowing that we'll play Sunderland on Monday 26, then Boro on 31 and only 2 days after West Ham away.

The West Ham away game will be very difficult on the pitch, but also in terms of rotation.

Mourinho said that he won't rotate much so I think that we'll have a full team against Sunderland and Boro, and probably a very tired one at West Ham

Well well well... things are certainly a bit more cheerier in here aye?
Not the usual "0-7" posts I always see, or "why isn't is possible to predict more than 0-5?"

    Makes for a nice change

The Special One versus the Chosen One II.

I would rest Carrick for this one and play him in the next two to be honest.

Would resting him for 11 days rather than 8 days make much difference? I don't think so personally.

No excuse for us not to be giving these a hammering really. Hopefully Mkhi is back, and we're a few goals up so we can give Ibra a rest around the 60 minute mark.

    He can't play a Saturday-Monday combo!

He'll play this one, rest v Boro, then back in for West Ham. Surely that's the obvious solution!

I hope Mkhitaryan destroys Moyes, in some ways it will feel like justice for Kagawa.

    racist.

Hopefully a very dignified greeting for Moyes, bit of an applause, as he did do his best.

But then take full retribution on the pitch with a calamitous thrashing of his boys.
