As others have said, it's no wonder our central players are being rubbish when we insist on playing the ball out to the flanks and then either crossing it to nobody or playing a pass 20 yards back to the midfielders who will then do the same thing.

Swansea are packing the no 10 area and we aren't moving enough to disrupt the players marking the area, need to get some movement into that area from our wide players.
The only one who so far has tried something is yet again Adnan. The passing from Fletcher in particular has been pretty underwhelming though.

As expected. I predicted 1-1 or a narrow 2-1 win.

Swansea are not bad, and more importantly, we're slightly overrated after our preseason.

Wouldn't mind seeing Fellaini come on for Fletcher and no I'm not joking.

Mata and Rooney must do better.
    Hernandez has been useless.
    Shaky defence.

Sure hope we turn this around, dont want the poor home record of last season to continue.

What exactly do we expect Hernandez to do when you don't create a single chance for him? He's a penalty box player.

LvG should have started with a different formation given the injuries rather than forcing his fancy on the team.

    Disappointing

Too many players have been anonymous and are not playing as they did in preseason. Really poor

I don't think if RvP was playing it would of made all that much difference. He wouldn't have got the ball enough to do anything.

He might of got on the end of a set piece. That's it.

We're not good enough to play two strikers.

Rooney - nowhere yo be found
    Chicha - can't control a ball
    Fletcher - brain dead
    Young - under bird influence
    Mata - same as Rooney

    Conclusion - amateurs

Honestly people saying Herrera's been a liability  You are absolutely clueless.

Fletcher has done nothing at all to help out other than pass it backwards now and then.

Herrera is our best hope of playing that killer pass because Mata has not looked at the races at all today. If a goal is going to come today it's going to come from Januzaj/Rooney and a Herrera pass.

    Not a great first half.

Looking very disjointed, lack of pace and surprisingly tactically naive.

It's so glaringly obvious we need some top class signings badly.

Blackett and Smalling were so poor on the goal.

It's worrying that united are going into the season with these defenders.

Some massive overreaction about this first half. Swansea capitalised on some poor defending, that's it. We just need to turn the key a bit. I still think we'll win this.

Just bring Vidal and Di maria.

Change formation to 4-3-3 and let the strikers battle for front striker. I just don't think Van Gaal has big enough balls to do that.

A lot of criticism of the defence but the problem is clearly on the attacking end. Swansea haven't looked like doing anything apart from the one chance that led to a goal (with a clear foul in the build up I might add). The big issue is that we haven't created anything despite having all of the ball.

It's funny isn't it - we have one of the worlds best tactical manager in Van Gaal, yet people are still questioning his tactics already.

Not sure what to make of that - either people are overreacting, van gaal isn't as good as he's been made out to be or we're shit. hmmm

Why are people so surprised? LvG has said everything he could to try to tell us we'd struggle in the beginning. He even said "All my teams struggle in the first three months." He said the squad is below top quality, he's said he can't change everything in four weeks. He's said the squad is broken, why is anyone surprised? We still have Fletcher and Cleverley as our second options in the midfield, we're not dynamic and we have bad players in our line up.

I guess I was the only one that thinks Herrera had a decent half and Januzaj has looked strong. I think Nani will come on for Hernandez and play at RWB with Januzaj moving up top with Rooney.
I thought Herrera was fine. They just seem to have reverted to hoofing the ball into the box badly again.

Blackett and Young worst on the pitch, both responsible for the goal.

Some overreaction here, we haven't been bad, Swansea came with a very good game plan that has worked so far, I think they deserve more credit for that than United being rubbish.
