Can feck off to politics for all i care. The number of inconsistent performances he's served us over the past year and a half and people were all giddy as soon as he scored a tap in completely forgetting the shit he's served us before that...
Exactly. I just don't want anyone not committed or not competent enough on the team.
I will take flak right here and I don't care one bit by saying this: his philanthropy has become a major hindrance to him. If that can give me a competent footballer, I would openly shove that charity work (and the accolades he got from it) to the garbage bin simply because
that is NOT a footballer's job, especially when that player has poor credibility. If he wants to change things, then he should run for office and get elected to enter in Westminster. Politicians are the people in position to improve things if they have their hearts and minds in the right place.
Rashford is an example of what I call the Colin Kaepernick syndrome. As much as the cause is noble, Kaepernick never gained the credibility required to his cause he deserved because he simply stopped seeking a playing job even when his stance proved to be right according to NFL authorities in the end. And we have to remember that Kaepernick was a mid-level quarterback at best when he began his activism. The last thing United needs in our rebuilding process is a Kaepernick; everyone must be committed and competent.
