A coach should get at least one year to implement his ideas. If next year the team is still playing below par then they should think about sacking him.
Not when it clearly isn't working though.A coach should get at least one year to implement his ideas. If next year the team is still playing below par then they should think about sacking him.
Don't think there should be a hard and fast rule like that. It has to be seen on a case to case basis. Of course you try to give the manager a decent run if possible. But for example we couldn't give Moyes a second season. Same with that Spanish NT manager who joined Madrid.A coach should get at least one year to implement his ideas. Look at the players they have. They should be performing much better than they are, especially against a team like Lyon, who have been incredibly hot and cold this season. Can it be a case that given the dominance Juve has over Serie A there might be an element of delusion in terms of their perceived strength at European level? Serie A is not what it used to be and being so dominant there sadly does not mean you should be a favorite to European trophies.
I don't really know what to believe tbh; maybe some of those players are a bit over rated. I've seen Smalling, Lukaku now Young being very, very good in Serie A so maybe some of the Juve players that we think are so good because they are dominating that league are actually not that great at the higher echelons of European football.Look at the players they have. You should be an internet United "fan" you would fit right in.Not when it clearly isn't working though.
You'll know if its not working after one year of training sessions and 2-3 players brought in to carry out the coach's vision. Not when it clearly isn't working though.
Jury is out on Moyes, I'm not sure if the results wouldn't have improved the next year. He was taking over from a long serving manager, there was bound to be a dip.Don't think there should be a hard and fast rule like that. It has to be seen on a case to case basis. It was clear to everybody that he wasn't competent to manage a club of Manchester United's stature. Anyone who still has doubts over his sacking needs to relook how terrible he was. It's obviously evidence that you don't have silly rules like 'must be given a second season' and there are many such examples. If your CEO commits a massive fraud after 3 months does the board say "yeah he's running us into the ground, but our principals don't allow us to get rid of him. It's just so... wrong."Jury is out on Moyes, I'm not sure if the results wouldn't have improved the next year. He was taking over from a long serving manager, there was bound to be a dip.

A top club who have serious ambition don't think that way. Sarri has been doing a below par job and neither are his team playing some amazing football. I thought I would never see it happening but he is making Allegri's football look entertaining. It was a stupid appointment by Juve.A coach should get at least one year to implement his ideas. If next year the team is still playing below par then they should think about sacking him.
Why not?I will say though its not a good look for a manager to be smoking at a training session like its the 1970s
Yeah, Sarri ball is something else, I hate modern football talk because of terms like that made by facebook fans who don't even watch football.Fraud of a manager. Remember all the cringe inducing talk of Sarri-ball when he was at Chelsea.
Oh dear, is he saying "we couldn't buy the refs?" He wants to be careful considering Juventus' history.“In this match, in Italy, we would have had two penalties. But we have to adapt to European arbitration,” tackled the former Naples coach
How good of a midfield is Fabinho, Henderson and Wijnaldum? How good of a midfield actually is Pjanic, Rabiot and Bentancur?
Sarri doesn't have a young Ronaldo though. The feck - when did Ronaldo become a luxury player
Nice younger age Ronaldo would be absolutely amazing under Klopp.
And Sarri isn't Klopp.Sarri doesn't have a young Ronaldo though.
No, he's got the Ronaldo who scored 25 goals in 30 games so far this season for Juve.Sarri doesn't have a young Ronaldo though.
Sarri is trash - if he can't make Ronaldo work there is something wrong with him
If Ronaldo is scoring at a higher rate than last season then Sarri hasn't failed at making Ronaldo work. No, he's got the Ronaldo who scored 25 goals in 30 games so far this season for Juve.
Sounds like Chelsea all over again. The entire problem here is they're stuck in the middle between the team they were for 8 years and the team Sarri wants them to be
Much much worseSounds like Chelsea all over again.
I used to pray when Mourinho was our manager tooTweet

He just won leagueHe's a bit of a coward isn't he, I actually think the Kepa incident has ruined his career as now players know he's a complete shitehouse with no backbone.
I'd also like to add he's not helped by having to rotate about 20 midfielders and attackers week in week out. The squad is huge and sometimes that effects consistency.
