Why do just the black lives matter, Fox News head moron Sean Hannity insisted a reporter on the ground in Baton Rouge ask a group of protestors, proof positive that mediocrity is no bar to success in this country, even on cable television.

“Jonathan, let me ask you. Maybe you can go through and just ask people very quickly. Do black lives matter, or do all lives matter? Maybe just take a survey, a quick survey of people,” Hannity said. “This became a big issue in the presidential campaign. Do black lives matter, or do all lives matter?”

Was never in doubt TBH. I wonder how many if the men offered their services to Ailes as well.
Murdoch's sons hate Ailes and have been trying to get rid of him for years, but the old man stood in their way. These recent allegations probably were the tipping point. This could completely change the face of cable news since Fox is comfortably the most popular channel.

You reckon It's a change of direction in their style of reporting? That article did say they see Kelly as the new anchor of the channel

I doubt it. Ailes was the driving force behind its climb to the top but Fox is now much bigger than him.

They will continue to remain very popular at what they do.

I think Murdoch's kids aren't hell bent on it being the right wing channel its become during the Ailes years, which may affect some of the shows - most notably Hannity and O'Reilly, both of which have benefited from Ailes' top cover over the years. If the new head of Fox is a moderate, Hannity's show may go the way of Glenn Beck's and O'Reilly's freedom and independence to do whatever the feck he wants may also be curtailed. Kelly, from what I've read, may well move on soon as her contract is up. She could easily get a top prime time gig with CNN (replacing the hideously annoying Don Lemon for instance) or get evening news role with one of the big three networks.

If all the liberals would stop watching so they could have things to be pissed off about or to laugh at, I think the ratings would drop. It's the same as how many righties I know who constantly quote the latest statement made by someone on MSNBC.

Nope. Fox is basically a reflection of Ailes - its politics, its misogynistic culture, and its penchant for demagoguery. If you remove Ailes, the political slant will be severely diluted if not neutralized.

Murdock is still pretty conservative. Fox will perhaps become more politically correct but they'll still surely continue to be a right wing network.

My brain can't get pregnant!
I think they could still be quite right wing, but they certainly wont be anything like they are now. They will be similar to The Sun in the UK and will follow voting trends, hedge their bets and always try to appeal to the people (or so they say) They will keep the glamour and good looking presenters but I think they will ditch people like Hannity. The sons definitely feel he loses more viewers than he gains.

It seems they envisage her as a sort of right wing Oprah.

So what specifically happened ? Was he actually escorted out ?
I didn't see that part. But Rupert came down to the newsroom 45 minutes ago and made the announcement to the employees. I think literally every employee at the network, top to bottom came down to hear it.

I hear he would only actually run it for a few months and that Ailes will continue to advise from a distance.
