I'll pass on everyone except Sancho. And I don't see the lad wanting to come here unless by some miracle we make CL.

That Maddison is probably the most overrated player on this board. Not only that, but he's a massive cnut too.

We simply have to sign Sancho, he is the player weve been screaming our for on the right - blank cheque time.

The others I am not too fussed about - we can do better than Chilwell and Rice for cheaper, and Maddison wouldn't be worth the money.

I just don't know what to do with myself
M.E.N. also saying this, so a pinch of salt might be required. They obviously didn't watch Longstaff at the weekend.

United eye Dembele and Longstaff - report
United are weighing up a £90million double raid on Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele in January, according to reports.

The Daily Star says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the duo would be capable of arresting United’s slump and boosting their top-four hopes.
I can't get my head around the viewpoint that Longstaff would somehow make a difference for us, let alone instantly.

Was looking at M.E.N. yesterday and I am sure they had an article, probably pilfered from another newspaper, that we should be building out team around Scott McTominay. Fecking what?
Haha! Desperate times!

In fairness to him, he has shown massive improvement in the last 6-12 months and the team desperately needs his energy in midfield, but he's a very limited footballer.

Liverpool have a midfield that’s not creative.
Once upon a time we had Keane-ince in midfield. Creativity can come from other positions especially if you have someone like Maddison and Sancho in the side
Keane dictated the play in one of the best midfields in the history of English football. Ince held his own in an extremely technical Serie A.

You're doing Ince and Keane a massive disservice if you think that's a valid comparison. Some of McTominay's passing is incredibly bad. A simple 5 yard square pass booted out of play is his speciality.

It’s essentially the same PR and spin we always hear when transfer window isn’t open. They always make it seem like we’re ambitious, are planning to strengthen in lots of positions and have multiple targets etc etc.

Also one midfielder seems extremely optimistic it’s more like 3 if Pogba leaves.

Wow, that's depressing. Rice and McTominay as the midfield 2 would be the least creative midfield United has had since O'Shea and Gibson.
Oshea was reliable, nutmegged figo and gibson had a wicked shots about him. Unfair really.

We should be targeting 4 players in January. We're way too far behind to be pussy footing around. We need at least 15 more players

It will be 6 by May.

Only for it all to be lies and sign 2/3.

MEN should be banned too.

These sort of stories are always annoying.

It's 2 months after a full 3months when we could have been targeting them!

As if we're thinking 10months ahead now, when we could easily see a change of management.
Should have closed the thread at this point.

The standard bad patch briefing. that's close to £350M outlay, never going to happen.

I highly doubt Leicester are going to sell us Maddison and Chilwell after selling us Maguire this past summer. I can see one (Maddison though I'm really not sure about him) but not both.

Rice - god no

Sancho - god yes
My feelings exactly if it were true.

Wow. A positive news story about spending big cash while we are in a bad run of form. Well I never.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...

Who would have thought hey. Shucks
Bad form you say...?

I hadn't noticed amid the excitement and giddiness I feel for our potential new signings!

Also, objective media voice Peter Schmeichel told us all after the last match that any bad form we may have is actually down to Paul Pogba - so all good :)

Could you imagine if we booted 300m into the team and that's what we ended up with.

Just looks so underwhelming!

Surprised the two Norwegian superstars haven’t been linked yet...would have thought Odegaard and Haaland would fit our needs perfectly and love to play for a Norwegian legend? or is it because they aren’t British!

4 players isn’t enough, we need some depth too.

We all love United
Why Chilwell? Has the club given up on Shaw? Luke’s only 23/24 with still his best years ahead of him

Rice is also an odd one when Fred is still here

People turning their noses up at Rice. Just like they were at Maguire during the summer. If we get Rice he’ll be a good player for us.
I love how people act like Maguire's been a huge success here all the time. He's been decent. Nothing more so far.

Sancho, Maddison, Chilwell and Rice? Lmao!

That's a minimum of 300 million. No way in hell.

All four would improve us but by god how much of a premium would you be paying.

Sancho, I would be very surprised if we can persuade him to come to us, wouldn't shock me if Salah or Mane go to Madrid and Liverpool use those funds to buy Sancho as a replacement, always live in hope but would be stunned.

Maddison, very good player, costing now what 80m+, personally think Gomes could be even better given a chance, would save us a fortune, also, quite a lot of No. 10s out there for a lot less.

Chilwell, again 50M+, far better full backs out there for less or similar fees.

Rice, 50/60m+, surely you can offer an extra 10/20m and get Allan from Napoli or Patey from At Madrid for a similar price to what Rice would cost?

Good thing is we do seem to have nailed down the positions that we need.

No striker mentioned as I assume we will go out and buy either Dembele or Wilson in January.

Lorenzo Pelegrini, Maia, Partey, Tonali are the sort of players we should be looking at, instead of paying over the odds for English players.

Where the grass is greener.
Chilwell would be an upgrade on Shaw.

I'd love Maddison and if we finish higher than I expect us to finish, maybe that can happen.

Rice, nah not convinced.

Sancho, for my own sanity I've given up on us getting him, if we weren't shite, yep think it would be a real goer, but we're not at the level required to attract someone of his talent at the moment.

The only player United should be targeting from Leicester is Wilfred Ndidi.

Wolves are not doing well and may as well get relegated, in any case this year is the perfect time to go for Neves.

Ndidi and Neves will be wonderful additions to our midfield and in case we loose Pogba, we can go for Fernandes, Maddison or Odegaard, whoever is easily available.

No they wouldn't. We need creativity in our team, going for two holding midfielders makes no sense.

Neves is not even all that, why do you think we need him?
