An absolute quality goal after an absolutely excellent performance.

Sometimes the Caf speaks absolute crap , the people saying this goal wasn't class fit into that category.

Hang your heads in shame.

Are these posts serious? It's a decent goal.
He pops the ball up, has the composure to send Gomez for an early bath with a volley fake shot, then smacks it into the top corner. Mind you, this was all in one fluid motion without the ball touching the ground. In Liverpool's box. In extra time. It definitely exceeds "decent."

If we didn't already have 2/3 class left wingers i'd be interested.

Unfortunately wide men just aren't what we need.

Guy impresses me more and more. Travesty that that bum of a Japan manager never started him in the WC.

He's like that main character in Netflix anime, Blue lock.

He does all sorts of formula and thesis in 0.0001 seconds to execute his next move. Typical anime player. Sign him up.
Pretty sure Nagi has scored exactly like that a few times. Unreal goal.

Beautiful player, still can't believe Moriyasu benched him at the world cup. He had been talking this high pressing philosophy and correct players nonsense before the world cup, and benched most of his best players.

We’ve beat you too it.
Chelsea have tried to buy our entire scouting department, but it won't work without Tony Bloom's database.

He made his billions building a database around teams in Asia and then running bets and markets based on the predictions it threw up. Our addiction to data over the more traditional "eye test" is what has made the difference for us. In other cases like Caicedo (he wasn't a hidden gem everyone knew about him) it's the relationships we've built around the word as well.

I want him but I can rest easy knowing that even if he joins a rival, we already have someone like him in the squad, Mictomanay.

I’m under no illusions that buying a few scouts will suddenly make us experts on the hidden gems. It’s more likely just to widen and strengthen our connection to other clubs and agents. More than the players themselves.

You definitely have a terrific system what ever the cause is.

Turning out to be a real match winner. For some reason feel like it will Spurs or Liverpool who will bid for him in the summer. Has great technique.

Liverpool have Gakpo, Nunez, Diaz in that position. There's no way they are looking to add another. They need a midfield and a couple of defenders.

Quite true, they are pretty stacked like we are in that position. Maybe just Spurs then? Son is going to need replacing at some point and I feel it will be sooner rather than later.

Brighton might go on to have a better season than Spurs for all we know and they certainly play much better than Spurs. He just joined them as well. He probably will remain with them next season.

Reminds me a bit of Diego Jota when he was at Wolves.
Would be a great signing for a top team in my opinion. Just seems to be able to score or do something special at a crucial time. Imagine bringing him off the bench at 1-1. He’d give the team and the crowd a massive lift

In spite of the fact that AWB was in beast mode, I felt that Mitoma was dangerous. You can see why he'd be coveted in the summer.

I like him, but he was poor today, ran into blind alleys time and time again, made the wrong decision more often than not.

No shame in getting shut down by AwB. Still rate him.

It wasn't his best day in the final third but he was still incredibly dangerous with his movement and dribbling. I did not feel comfortable when they were getting it into him even though AWB did a good job. It was a good battle, on another day he could and probably should have been decisive.

I really rate him. But, I could see him being a flop at a bigger club. Better off staying at Brighton.

Unfortunately wasn't his day today, but the talent is clear. He'll be highly coveted.

When people say it wasn't his day, who exactly do they believe can get the better of AWB in a pure 1:1 contest? It's literally his specialist field as a footballer and even then Mitoma found pockets of space and had the air of a player who needs attention paying to for every minute he's on the pitch.

Praise should go to AWB for focusing on the task at hand and concentrating for the entirety of the contest. Few in the league can do that, let alone with a cunning player like Mitoma.

Once again, a winger that is better with clever interplay on the inside channels that enables him to use his cunning and pick his moments in games as opposed to the all-conquering-do-it-all-by-myself Vinicius/Dembele (on form) types.

The more chaos others can provide, the more likely Mitoma is going to exploit situations and capitalise. Any club buying him should be facilitating his game and not forcing circles into squares as we so often witness.

Certainly has magic in his boots, scored a fair few crackers already. The question is can he do it consistently enough to become someone like Mane (who he reminds me a lot of).
