Yeah he's actually pretty good at everything. If we're looking for an actual midfielder, he should be top of the list.Pretty good this lad isn't he? Seemingly can do a bit of everything in the middle of the park.

We were there... Front runner untill we pulled out.Would love to have this guy at United but ehy do we never get these type of players at source ourselves, and end up forking our extortionate fees to other Premier League clubs?!
Fantastic..."nah, he's too cheap. We'll wait until he makes a name for himself at a rival PL club, then fork out shitloads to get him".We were there... Front runner untill we pulled out.
No it was more complicated than that. We were genuinely in for him but it was impossible to determine who actually represented him and who to make a deal with.Fantastic..."nah, he's too cheap. We'll wait until he makes a name for himself at a rival PL club, then fork out shitloads to get him".
He came on the recommendation of a one, Antonio Valencia who was Caceido's idol/sporting hero.Fantastic..."nah, he's too cheap. We'll wait until he makes a name for himself at a rival PL club, then fork out shitloads to get him".
We might as well just buy these players on the cheap even if we're not 100% sure of them. If they work out, great, if they don't just flog them on. Might make a loss on a lot of them but worth the investment if it means unearthing a Caceido or Mitoma.
Having said that, would Caceido have developed at United the same way as he has at Brighton, given how dysfunctional we were for a few seasons?!
He will go to the highest bidder. We just need to be in for him and let Antonio Valencia convince him to join us over Real Madrid or any other clubs. If he gives us good seasons to draw their interest then fair enough. That would mean we would have a good player for 4-5 years.
It always does seem to be more complicated with us, doesn't it?! Every transfer seems to be an epic saga!No it was more complicated than that. We were genuinely in for him but it was impossible to determine who actually represented him and who to make a deal with.
No, not particularly, though there have been some high profile ones which are mainly due to how big a club we are. I'm sure there are dozens of transfers that have the same issues but just don't get reported on.It always does seem to be more complicated with us, doesn't it?! We'd sell:Could we realistically get him, Kane, and replacements for Maguire and De Gea in one summer? Would be close to £300million if we did.
The replacement for Maguire wouldn't need to be another 80m defender. At this stage, we'd just need a competent back-up central defender for Varane and Martinez (assuming we also keep Lindelof as back-up).Could we realistically get him, Kane, and replacements for Maguire and De Gea in one summer? That would be Mitoma imo.The price Brighton will want for any of Caicedo, McAlister or Mitoma combined with them playing better as a sum of their whole parts, it's bound to be that at least one of these will end up being the next Cucerella
Mobile beyond belief???
I’d put Mac Allister in that category. No chance he’s a £70m midfielder. Solid but not worth that much. That would be Mitoma imo.
He is a nice player but in his position, for the money they would want, you need to be a consistent match winner at a top side - Salah, Mane, Mahrez, Sterling (at city), Rashford, Son, Vinicius - that’s what €100 million should get you.
He is more like Antony, or Fati or Coman or Dembele type player. Incredible technique and you can appreciate him on many levels - he is not gonna take the lead and win games for you on his own consistently.
Fuk it. I would buy Acuna…old and cheap, nasty Martinez type who will scrap and battle…won’t want to start every game ..use him as cover at LB to free up Shaw at CB. Shaw is better than most left sided CBs on and off the ball. Keep Lindelof as back up for Varane. The replacement for Maguire wouldn't need to be another 80m defender. At this stage, we'd just need a competent back-up central defender for Varane and Martinez (assuming we also keep Lindelof as back-up).
If getting Kane and Caceido meant keeping David for an extra season or two, I'd be happy enough to make that compromise.
So you think that McTominay and Henderson are 40million pound players but they are not good enough for us?We'd sell:
Maguire
Henderson
McTominay
Assuming Maguire goes for 30 and the other two for 40m, that's 110mil in.
If we get Timber as Maguires replacement it's almost like for like in terms of transfer fee I think.
If we replace DDG we obv get no fee but save an absolute boatload in wages which I'm sure counts somewhere in budgeting.
Yeah but what’s in it for him?I think we can sign him up as Casemiro's eventual successor. For next 2-3 years, he can play a squad role to play cup games, easier league games and to cover midfield injuries. At 60-70 million pounds, he can be a box-to-box old school midfielder for at least 5-8 years.
And while we're at it, sign up Brighton's scouting team as well.
Sean Longstaff was 50m . These are reasonable ish prices. I'd say 25 each would be enough. Though if we were buying them. Theyd be 50mSo you think that McTominay and Henderson are 40million pound players but they are not good enough for us?
He was also loaned to Club in Belgium as well , I don't think he would have developed well at United at all .Even at Brighton it took him a while to get integrated in the first team. No way he’d have come to United and got the opportunity from an under fire manager and an inpatient fan base
When McTominay was linked to Newcastle it was reported 40m I believe. So you think that McTominay and Henderson are 40million pound players but they are not good enough for us?
Yeah but no one paid itSean Longstaff was 50m . These are reasonable ish prices. I'd say 25 each would be enough. Though if we were buying them. Theyd be 50m
When I read posts like this I think I am in a parallel universe where the average national wage is about 5mil pounds a year. When McTominay was linked to Newcastle it was reported 40m I believe.
And Henderson just signed a new deal, at his age and potential yes I think he can go for that too.
This is it exactly.Even at Brighton it took him a while to get integrated in the first team. No way he’d have come to United and got the opportunity from an under fire manager and an impatient fan base
So he wanted to leave in Jan and was dropped for a few games, but then re signed. Surely it was a Ronaldo like situation and he's still got heart set on an exit. We should move on this quickly and 80m is doable.Tweet

Should have been snapped up earlier. Every man and his dog after him now. He could give Casemiro that extra protection but also be one half of a future double pivot and look for a long term maestro to play with him… maybe even a pairing of him and Lavia or someone of that ilk. Definitely need more legs in there for the long term.
