New drinking game: drink everytime Fabinho fouls and doesn’t get booked.

It really is a case of the Anfield crowd screaming for anything no matter what. The weakness of these referees is appalling

The more consistently you foul the more lenient refs are. Too many decisions are based on trying to avoid having a controversial decision later in the match. An additional opportunity for players to blatantly stop an attack with every yellow ignored. Its terrible for the game.

If I was manager, I would be demanding Fred shave his head. If you're Brazilian and your barnet lives up to the name, you've got a carte blanche for fouls in the PL.

Such a sheet code to have him and his immunity. He single-handedly killed 3/4 great counterattacking opportunities for spurs with his fouls. No booking for either.

This is true and winds me up so much. The narrative that the ref has to give the game a chance because footballers can't be expected to adapt their game if they've been booked.

There's something about brazilian DMs and avoiding cards. Can't wait for Fabinho and Casemiro to combine for 276 fouls without getting booked in the final

A few players seem to get a pass with this, including our own. McTominay has gotten away with a few and I remember Scholes taking the royal piss with his tackles and avoiding cards on the reg.

Whereas others can commit slight fouls and still get yellow... weird.

Reminds me of how at school the problem kid would have to do something really outrageous for a reprimand while 'normal' ones had a much higher standard applied to them.

Saying referees are influenced by what's said in the media and especially by managers is selling it short. It's way worse, as sometimes the agenda is clear even before it's discussed anywhere.

Case in point is the Klopp crying about us getting pens while Salah and Mane dive their way to wins season after season. The second one is the clear bias against our reputation players - Dan James for going down too easily and Ronaldo for diving for pens.

Well you remembered this very wrongly. Scholes has the 5th most yellow cards in PL history with 97.

Its a tradition that started with Dunga. Before him brazilian "DMs" were more in the spirit of Tony Kross.

With him going off Suppose I will have to guess now when he would have made a foul to carry on drinking
