Fan power. Toon fans didn't like Ashley and actively campaigned, made him feel very uncomfortable and he's been looking to sell for a long time. United had mass demonstrations, which have vanished now as we signed Ronaldo, Sancho and got a few empty promises off the owners. Why would this takeover galvanise United fans? That is what the tweet is suggesting.
I meant he would be sacked with a hefty payouthe's gonna be let go I think
Ole is a very good manager. He's a DM away from winning the league. You're only a decent manager away from winning the league, your squad is as good as both City and Liverpool's
don't tell this to Ole Iners. You're only a decent manager away from winning the league, your squad is as good as both City and Liverpool's
I wonder what happens to psg, city and newcastle when these oil sheiks are overthrown in a violent revolution ?
Three Newcastle United first team players already converted to Islam.Who here thinks they're gonna go after all the muslim players?
That's what.... throwing money at Salah, Pogba...who else would join that?
Muslims go to Mecca and Medina regularly doesn't mean they like Saudi Government or Saudi's Imams/Clerics.That was what I was telling. As long as they control Mecca, they already have all kind of celebrity Muslims going there and taking pics and posting on insta. They have so much publicity. It is only in the non Islamic world, that they need good PR, again debatable because pretty much all countries do business with the Saudis without inhibition.
Antonio Conte?Looking forward to the mad fecker taking his seat at St James Park soon!
Probably closer to what Abramovitch paid, which was around £2 billion, wasn't it? (I'm not having a go, serious question). Prices for top tier players will almost certainly skyrocket. Figure on 15 new players over the next 3 years at £100m a pop, and then 5 new players the next couple of seasons. They are still going to need a Mourinho type of manager (who isn't Mourinho). Mark Hughes at City was Phase 1 of that shit show. Think Pep will be up for "a new challenge"?How much would Newcastle need to spend to win the league? £500 million if they have decent luck in the market?
They need to replace literally everyone in the squad and the coaching staff.
If fan-ownership something mandated by law in Germany?Another state owned club i see. I just don't get how fans want this, a foreign power a literal criminal state is taking over your home town club and you cheer towards your own (and footballs) demise. I'd never accept my club which i grow up with being in the hands of some foreign head of state, like how do you moraly justify continuting your support after that, i really don't understand that.
Imagine your club being run by it's members and people who live, eat, sleep and die for the club.

We are talking of multi billionaires. If The Glazers were willing to sell United, MBS could have bought it. He certainly can afford it. The only competition for them comes from City. This won’t go as smoothly as City or Chelsea.
1. Almost all premier league owners are billionaires. A lot have over 2-3 billion, and most bought their clubs as toys for their pleasure. So unless the Newcastle owners are prepared to buy players for twice their value, there isn’t a need for owners to just sell their best players to them. This isn’t City in 2008, when the smaller sides had to sell to balance their books.
2. They aren’t based in a major city that’ll appeal to a bunch of rich young footballers.
3. Who are they going to attract? We’ve had clubs such as Fulham come up and spend 100m in a transfer window, only to get relegated. Unless they have a proper system in place and climb up into European football, no major player is going there. They can offer 800k a week but that’s what clubs such as Madrid, Barca and PSG have been doing for the past decade.
It is indeed. In my little northern european country aswell and it will remain so. Fans are so strong here that something similiar would under no circumstances happend here. Then again we don't have any global aspirations, for if we did we'd have to trade our morality for it and our soul.If fan-ownership something mandated by law in Germany?
Speak for yourself.Fans want results, trophies and a show. Does not matter anymore who’s in charge.
You are right. My apathy towards football grows by the day. I used to soak up everything but that gradually reduced to only watching United. It’s just one big advert for gambling, Visit Dubai and shit watches. Needs to die and be remade.
If they throw enough cash at it, it always eventually sticks. First season or two will be a bit scattered I imagineThis won’t go as smoothly as City or Chelsea.

Why Potter? I agree that he is a good manager with a lot of potential but I can see the Saudis wanting a big name. Could they go out and lure a Conte type marquee manager? Unlikely... but a manager such as Lampard or Gerrard (both linked in the media this morning) would offer a bigger name.We are talking of multi billionaires. If The Glazers were willing to sell United, MBS could have bought it. He certainly can afford it. The only competition for them comes from City.
Potter could replace Bruce.
Let's face it, football at the top level is fecked. There is literally no club which is whiter than white. In Germany, Bayern are seen as corporate sellouts, in Spain we have Barca, who are owned by their members and who still proceeded to feck things up so much they'll be offering reacharounds in the back of their car for the foreseeable future.Another state owned club i see. New colonialism at its finest, who needs flags when you got jerseys.Have they?
Newcastle are a big club which makes it easier to financially dope them since they have attendance figures to back up huge endorsement deals. There is always a Tevez or a Robinho lying around somewhere looking for a big payday so they will get one or two of those in addition to unwanted players at big clubs. Right now they are looking to avoid relegation, the next step would be to challenge for Europe and depending on the manager they can attract that won't be too difficult to do. In January they could realistically get Martial and Lingard, add an experienced CB to that they easily avoid relegation then in the summer after a new shirt deal, a new stadium naming rights deal, new training kit deal and new training ground deal they can spend circa 300m on new talent. This won’t go as smoothly as City or Chelsea.

Didn’t they win the league 4 years after take over? It’ll take years for Newcastle to compete. They can’t just go and buy Mbappe, Harland. Look at city. Before they could attract the elite, they had to bring in Bellamy, Lescott, Petrov etc. It took them at least 5 years really to be challenging
None of those players are going to NewcastleThey can sign Mbappe, Pogba and Lingard for ZERO in a few months.
Haaland for £75m
And that's just the start
The Newcastle fans are dancing in the streets!FFP ain't gonna make a damn bit of difference. Newcastle get double the gate (triple?) that Man City gets, so whatever City spends Newcastle can make it look a pittance.
Back when Mansour took over City, I wondered why they didn't just buy Newcastle and start their own empire instead of trying to create drama in Manchester.
It really does spell trouble for City, though, because the mercenaries will go to the highest bidder. That would actually be really fecking funny. The thing that ain't funny is the sports-washing that is going to happen with this money. That's fecked up. Newcastle fans deserve better, but I wonder how many of them will care when they have a squad of global mercenaries making PSG look like a bunch of cloggers?
I don’t think anyone is suggesting it’s going to be an immediate turn around for NewcastleIt’ll take years for Newcastle to compete. They can’t just go and buy Mbappe, Harland. Look at city. the letters are wrong, written in the opposite direction.
Could you imagine if a VAR decision started a war.The whole point of them buying these clubs Is to make sure that doesn't happen.
Play nice with the west pump in money and we won't support regime change.
I've seen the numbers, but presented like this... wow

Took them just 2/3 years before signing absolute top quality, and made the champions league in the 3rd season, won the league in the 4th. It’s absolutely inevitable that this will happen again. People are being naive if they think it won’t.Didn’t they win the league 4 years after take over?
Yeah, no chance we are letting Lingard go.None of those players are going to Newcastle
