The commercial side of the club overules the sporting side of the club when push comes to shove. The CR7 signing is a prime example of that - it was a commercial signing at 36-37, not a sporting one. The club has been run terribly for a long time. You really think that Woodward, Arnold, Glazer and co, have the football acumen to make footballing decisions, or they have given anything more than token roles to Murtough/Fletcher who are supposed to be the technical football people in the club, but in reality are finding their way whilst in the jobs - NO they are driven by popular opinion, social media reactions and followers - the problem with that, is most fans know as much as they do, on how to run a football club - it's comical...
