I reluctantly went with Cam Akers as my anchor RB in my other main fantasy league startup this summer and I am feeling a little sick at the moment.

Stafford playing like he's back in Detroit...he's been poor and after surgery during the off-season and little reps, he's totally off. But great game by Buffalo, on both sides of the ball. Dominant on opening night.

Bills putting down a marker to start the season. Impressive.

I see Von continues to rack up sacks, after showing he was very much still a game wrecker with LA last year. The way Fangio played him at times was criminal.

Yeah that was pretty bad, going to be a tough season and would probably take 9-8 and a wildcard slot if 9-8 is enough. Bills looked great.

It certainly is. But I'm still going for a 49ers v Ravens Super Bowl with the 49ers winning.

The Bills look great but the hype is getting out of control. This sport has a lot of parity.

How many times did the Bills sack Stafford? I only saw the highlights this morning but felt like he was eating dirt on every other play.

Bills look so good. I usually make my hot takes for the season after week 1 is done but injuries permitting, the Bills are going to the SB :wenger:

Can you be overhyped after beating the reigning champs 31-10 in their own barn. Seems fair.

Just can't envision a Lance-led Niners team getting to the playoffs, let alone winning the whole thing.

They were overhyped long before yesterday though. It's a long season and that was just one game against a clearly unfocused champion. Let's see how it pans out.

I see Bills/Bengals vs Bucs/Packers

I can't either. I actually suspect that Lance will either struggle or get injured and they'll ultimately go back to Jimmy G. That's my guess anyway. Their team is absolutely stacked.

Even though I don't see the Bills or the Packers making the SB, I wouldn't at all be surprised if that was the match-up. Two strong teams. However I don't like the Buccs or the Bengals at all this season. I would be surprised if either of them made it.

Too many good teams in the AFC for it to be easy for then. I think the Ravens with most of their guys back will surprise a lot of people this year.

The scary thing about the Bills is they committed 4 turnovers and still beat the reigning champs by 3 TDs on the road. If not for the turnovers the score could've easily been something like 48-3.

Yeah and they answered the bell and proved worthy of the hype.

We all know you can’t crown a champion in this league though, that’s why it’s so good.

That speaks to how disappointing the Rams were more than anything else IMO. But I think they'll be better in the future.

Can't say that after one game. Remember the obituaries that were written about the Packers after they were hammered in their opening game last season? Still ended up with the number 1 seed in the NFC.

The Bills look very strong offensively and defensively but we'll have to wait a few weeks to determine who is actually the best team. And even if someone is the best team in the regular season, that's no guarantee of anything in the playoffs. That's why this sport is so compelling as you point out.

If I was gonna pick nits with the Bills, it would be in the run game. I don't think it's a good thing that Allen is invariably the leading rusher.

Yes, they were disappointing. But the Bills were very well coached coming in and executed fairly well (the turnovers notwithstanding). Adding Von Miller is going to be a game changer in the balance of power in the AFC.

One game or not - it was pretty damn impressive and it’s no wonder they are red hot favourites.

Agree with this pretty much. Miller was great and it looks like the people who called him washed are going to be proved very wrong. As for the balance of power in the AFC, it remains to be seen. There's a lot of good teams in that conference.
