Christ, it gets worse...you're beloved captain couldn't motivate himself to get fit to wear your shirt again. Only by dreaming up a cowardly attack on a player that had got to him big time...

What a mad bastard

There's a lot of hot headed players who have made bad tackles. This is different from Keane's behaviour...

We've just been over this...

No comment on the footballing matters then Liverpool fans?

Keane, Gerrard, Smith, Vieira.

They all have poor diciplinary records, and in the main (bar the Keane-Haaland incodent) there dismissels or cautions are down to the passion they have for their respective teams flowing over, fuled by frustration at the result or at the teams state in general.

It depends on how you define honest....I'm sure he doesn't fake injuries..but his attack on Haaland wasn't particularly honest now was it?

Who else has then? Don't guess mind...lets have facts, like the fact that Keane went out to get Haaland....

Ive just been over that. It was fueled by his hurt pride, not really his will to put Haaland out for a long time, but to be able to see how Haaland likes being stood over etc., it doesnt make the challenge itself right, Keane simply shouldnt of let Alfie The Angel get under his skin, but still.

Keane is an honest player, he doesnt cheat does he?, he doesnt dive or fake injury or waste time, everything he does that is out of line is fueled by hurt pride or frustration.

Gerrard's assault on Naymsith is one of the worst I've seen on a football pitch - so it's not as if it's just one of many tackles from a hot headed player.

The difference between you and us is that we have no problem admitting Keano is mad - it must be painful for you lot seeing Gerrard turning out to be of the same character, after all the complaints you've had about or captain fantastic, Keano.

As I said, it depends on how you define honest...

I've always thought Keane's been a bit mad, but after hearing your stories of his obsession with Haaland, and using him as motivation to get fit...well...

He's a feckin grade A nut ain't he?

Have you ever played football? If you have, and you have to ask this question, you must be some kind of saint.

I've sworn revenge on players, and I know lots of team mates who have done it over the years as well.

Don't think it would be any different in the professional game. Do you?

On the contrary, I'm well aware of Gerrard's failings re his behaviour and have said as much in this thread. But, being the strange sort that you are, you feel a need to try to "prove" that Gerrard is equally as mad a bastard as Keane. He quite clearly isn't...

We know that

So, they delibaretely went out and played badly because it was a pre-season friendly?

Have you seen any signals of improvement on the shambles that was Liverpool FC last season?

There's extremes...and Keane took it beyond the limit with his master plan to get Haaland in a cowardly revenge attack..

The mad bastard

Dispite long injuries and a ban, Keane was still one of our most influential and best players last year. And he shows no sign of not being so, if pre-season is anything to go by. Which is en-couraging.</strong><hr></blockquote>

He was rubbish after his injury when I saw him....and has expressed doubts about himself for the future...going as far as to say "The old Keane's gone"..

We'll see

I think you're reading too much into it.

I think Keano, as many before him has, went in to the game and saw an opportunity to get his own back on someone.

It's happened before, and it will happen again.

I'm just repeating what you mancs have told me, re his obsession with Haaland...

I don't see the issue. Keane is a mad bastard who has done things well beyond the norm....things which Gerrard hasn't...if you could stop trying to make a direct comparison between everything Liverpool and Man Utd for a minute then I'm sure you'd see this..

Story of your life, isn't it - you only tend to see our team and players when they have a bad game.

Did you any of our Premiership games towards the end of the season?

What do you want me to do? Pretend that Keane was fantastic when I saw him?

You need to learn to accept that not everything connected with Man Utd is all rosy....the idea that Keane's best days may be behind him is not a contraversial one - and one shared by the mad bastard himself

I'm not taking it too seriously, although you might wanna tell scally Gerrard that....

I'm just glad I saw none of the signs of improvement I heard from Liverpool fans after your games against Hong Kong, Thailand and Crewe....

I'm sure we'll see a very much improved Liverpool in two week's time though - don't you agree?

What did you think of our 6-2 Victory over Newcastle?</strong><hr></blockquote>

You were excellent in that game, I can give you credit when its due no problem at all.

But the fact that you thrashed Newcastle doesn't mean that Keane will be back to his best, or that he's not a mad bastard...so is slightly off the line of conversation

Hope so...have to wait and see tho, no point in trying to judge from pre-season friendlies

Yes you are...you're trying to conclude that Gerrard is as mad a bastard as Keane..why I don't know?

He clearly isn't...Keane's out there with the fairies...the obsessed nutter

I've got no interest in 'concluding' who is as mad as the other one.

Keano is a nutter, Gerrard is a nutter.
