Great signing but I've yet to read how City have managed to sign him for less than his release clause when nearly all the top clubs wanted him, and on less money than that was supposed to want...

I've no problem with City being the stronger with this signing because, to put it bluntly, it is either them or Liverpool competing for silverware for the next five seasons minimum.
Imagine if there were no-one to challenge Liverpool and it was simply Klopp waltzing to the title every season, like it was at some points during Fergie's reign when the league would be sewn up around April.

The question should be what's happening at Dortmund why was his release clause said to be 70m, but ends up at 50m? Was there another stipulation in the contract? We may find out a little later once more info gets released.

Most likely the reported figures were drastically exaggerated to begin with because sports media has absolutely zero need for facts to pump out endless transfer rumors for more clicks.

City showed they were right to turn down Spurs' valuation of Kane, they only end up paying far less for a much better long-term prospect. I just hope Haaland can put his injury woes behind him, because he's about to enter a much more physical league which he seems built for, in a team that's going to provide him with plenty of opportunities to score. I wouldn't be surprised to see him lead the league if he manages to stay fit.

So the release clause is just £51.1m. It is an absolute bargain regardless of sign on fee and agent fee. City will probably sell Jesus and Sterling in summer to make room for his arrival.

According to Sky sports they will be paying 35 mil on those fees on top of the 51 million plus a probable 5 year contract worth atleast 350K a week or 100 million /5 years or so rough estimate can be 180 Million - 200 million
