Doubt we'll know until the court case if she is charged. Here's the Police statement.Jesus wept, how?
Even with y’all not having it, they’d better hope they’re never allowed anywhere near the general population of the prison. If true these are the type of situations the death penalty should be brought back.

Death row gang members still draw the line at killing kids.

Good griefIt’s entirely different in the uk our prisons and sentences are so soft compared to the US, it wouldn’t be surprising if this women is eligible for parole at some point and while she is locked up she will be protected no doubt. She will likely never go near the genareal population.
It tells you everything you need to know about that woman that even Hell have tried to release her.Hell, they would've released Hindley if they could've got away with it.
Even the lawless have principles.Virtuous members of society.
Not really, people are just commenting on the issue under the hypothetical (implied) scenario that it's true.Looks like the Caf has already convicted her.
Surprise at the women getting a parole...looks pretty much like a conviction. Not really, people are just commenting on the issue under the hypothetical (implied) scenario that it's true.
True. At present it could as easily be a statistical aberration, a symptom of poor practice in the hospital or poor training in the case of an individual. It's the police statement that talks about murder: "She was arrested earlier this morning on suspicion of murder in relation to 8 of the babies and attempted murder in relation to 6 of the babies and is currently in custody." Though of course that's not the same as saying she's been charged, and it's a very long way from anyone going to court and being convicted. And do we know that these were murders? The investigation was for higher than average non-fatal deaths and someone was arrested on suspicion. I've browsed the articles and there was no confirmation that these were actually murders.
Yeah it's too early to make assumptions like this imo. Maybe she's mentally ill and has been for some time?If true these are the type of situations the death penalty should be brought back.
This exactly. I expected some middle aged witch looking woman.She's...not what I expected.
I would expect it isn’t uncommon for pre-term babies to die. @Penna will know.what so 8 babies dead and no one thought, "hmm something is not quite right here". What circumstances could have been going on for suspicion not have been raised considering a single death should have been vigorously investigated ffs.
Just read the article. Are those numbers normal? So many babies dying in the hospital? Surely those numbers are alarming.
yes but at those rates??I would expect it isn’t uncommon for pre-term babies to die. @Penna will know.
Over 15 months?yes but at those rates??
No idea mate. We would need some real statistics to see if this was an exceptional number or outlier situation. There must have been a trigger to get them to investigate in the first place. So I would think someone department would have some analytics about this stuff.Over 15 months?
Well, it depends. If babies are just preterm, they often do very well in neonatal units, thrive and go home without complications. Yes, babies do sadly die, but in my experience it's usually expected - the babies who are most at risk because of extreme prematurity or other problems (like infection or bleeding) obviously have the highest mortality rate.I would expect it isn’t uncommon for pre-term babies to die. @Penna will know.

Some units are Level 2 Neonatal Units and will get babies transferred in from other hospitals- they'll be the sickest neonates, so death rates are (unfortunately) expected to be higher. The Countess of Chester's unit was downgraded to Level 1 (Special Care) after the initial investigation (which the hospital requested). However, the deaths had already occurred by then (through 2015 and the first half of 2016).
Cruella de Vil style. The truth though is that killers are normally just normal looking. This exactly. I expected some middle aged witch looking woman.
I should have also said there are Level 3 Units, which are known as Neonatal Intensive Care Units. I think there's about 60-ish of those in the UK. They will look after the babies with the most complex problems.Cheers.
There's been at least three wrongful accusations in recent years that I can think of. The media shouldn't be publicly naming this person, IMO.It's almost too unthinkable to believe. There was a case a while ago where a nurse was wrongly accused based on shift patterns matching or something, so you never know she might be innocent.
Sounds like a sex offenderCruella de Vil style. The truth though is that killers are normally just normal looking.
Mind you we had someone in the caf not long ago who reckoned he could tell a sex offender by looking at them
Agree, some woman has had her face plastered across all the newspapers etc this week before the investigation has finished (let alone a trial even started). There's been at least three wrongful accusations in recent years that I can think of. The media shouldn't be publicly naming this person, IMO.
