How anyone is supposed to do better with those players, against Barcelona, I’ll never know.

It would be nice if everyone could have a good game at the same time for once.

Terrible substitutions tonight he completely got the lukaku and Dalot ones wrong and that's very worrying how he cant see past Rashford and Young

Losing at OT without a shot on target is now considered a good night for us? feck off

'HE'

feck me sideways, learn to read.

It's a disappointing result, we clearly lacked quality in the final third and conceded a shit goal, but the set up was fine and we largely neutralised Barca whilst doing pretty well to get in to dangerous positions which were largely wasted thanks to lack of quality.

We need more quality in the final third, but that's abundantly obvious to anyone that's watched us over the last two years.

He's got a massive blindspot for some of our British players. Taking off Lukaku instead of Rash and Dalot instead of Young weakened us. Perhaps he places too much emphasis on direct players

Solskjaer has been poor yet again, thus far giving him the contract looks like the decision was made too soon.

No one, not anyone can commit to say that was a good performance, we didn't have a single shot on target. You cannot moan at Van Gaal for the similar standard of holding possession but not doing anything effective with it, then lament what was witnessed a good performance.

The only positive result today is we only conceded one goal so the second tie presents the opportunity to go through. Can't see it happening though, but this game made for us to win, disgraceful tactical changes, rashford has been poor for weeks and should have come off for Martial. Lukaku deserved the full 90 mins.

The squads a mess. Defence and attacking wise. He needs to demand changes because we going nowhere with this squad.

The approach today was right. But we have crap at the back and front. We need about 5 players in our starting line up.

Ole did us proud tonight. Can only work with the tools you are given. Major additions required in the summer thought, as many of these players (at the highest level) just not good enough unfortunately.

I was all for Ole getting the job but now looking back at it, i was probably premature in declaring that. Not been impressed with him since he has got the job. It still feels like Mourinho where its very individualistic and no real team attacking patterns.
Perhaps we should have waited instead

Someone claimed we outplayed barcelona, shame on us for not uncorking bottles of champagne and spraying it around like we've won the world cup.

Ok what would you have done differently?

Not play Young for starters. Not go with a weird 5 at the back formation with Luke Shaw as LCB and Dalot as LWB. Not sub Lukaku if we were going to put bazillion crosses in. Not sub Young off.

Also, people need to take off their red specs and judge the match for what it was. Zero shots on target at home again, and we've been playing utter shit for couple of months now.

Why the feck on the biggest night of the season did we play players in new or random positions?

How the feck was that going to be productive?

Genuinely scratching my head at why he played Shaw as a centre back probably for the first time in his life against Barcelona.

Idiotic substitutions when Young had another disgrace of a performance. Pissed me off waiting a week for that shit.

Started with wrong gameplan then adapted and then killed the game with absolutely wrong subs.
For 20-70 minutes i give him praise. But the rest he fecked it up.

He's had a good night. Some of you need to chill the feck out.
Good night? If 0 shots on target playing at home is a good night then we are in a deeper shite than we all thought. It was a bare minimum performance you would expect from a team playing CL quarter finals at home. I will admit that we tried, we ran a lot, we pressed them. Unfortunately I don't think the gameplan worked at all attacking wise and it's hardly a surprise when the lineup was so defensive. Young being the first name on the teamsheet is baffling. Well at least he got a red card against Wolves so we won't see him for a couple games. I hope I am wrong but I think we jumped the gun massively with Ole. We all love him as a person, former player, legend but I am just not sure he is the right man to bring us back to winning trophies.

I think we set out in the right way. We closed down Barcas midfield quickly and didn't let them find a rhythm. But the quality in the final third just isn't there.

4th defeat in five since his appointment as the permanent manager. An almost complete u-turn from how he started.

His tactics were good after their goal. Subs were atrocious again. Seems to have his favorites, which is always dangerous territory. There was no reason to keep Young on for the entire game and Rashford for as long he did.

Thought we looked better than expected defending wise, big individual mistakes for the goal but apart from that we didn't look that bad defensively. Attacking wise I was very disappointed. I am also disappointed with our approach, it looks like he was happy with us losing the game?

Formation was terrible though, even though it kind of worked defensively.

Barca is way better in every position bar our keeper. Blaming Ole for a narrow loss for Barca is just stupid. This is our level of play. A massive rebuilding must happend.

We put on Lindegard - they put on Vidal

BTW - Martial is shit again.

We played really well. They're one of the two or three best teams in Europe and we pushed them all the way. We're miles behind them in terms of quality. What did people expect?

He's being let down by his players rather than anything else. Rashford is a complete liability.

Still confused why Dalot was on the left and Shaw as a 3rd CB. Might have helped our build-up a bit, but Dalot was non-existent going forward.

And then Young still manages to stay on again.

We started the game very poorly.

Vidal was embarrassing, he was put on to put his foot in but was chasing shadows, he looked drunk.

I can't believe people are saying this result is because of Ole?! He can only do so much! If Young plays like the extra man for the opposition, or Rashford playing like he has the touch of a Donkey- what is Ole supposed to do?

I respect that he went with attacking intent, but these players are just not good in enough. We made them not play to their best, yet people say Ole should have had his team take advantage.

Happy With a 1-0 defeat at home in the CL quarter final.
How the mighty have fallen.

Did well tonight and almost completely nullified their attack. Their goal wasn’t anything special and on another day might never have happened.

Going forward we lack quality however. There are some weak links in the side that tactics cannot solve

This was expected by every single Man Utd fan so therefore why start him ? What does Young actually contribute to ?

The issue I have with him is Young, Rashford and Lingard are his favourites. All three just don’t do anything or aren’t productive at all. We ain’t winning a league with Rashford as striker.

We're back to blaming the players then. Around in circles we go for the 100th time

It's always been the players. Even under SAF. He just worked miracles. Mind, we did actually have a great side 10 years ago.

Don't think we've managed to put in a truly convincing performance at home under him yet.

He's playing Mourinho esque football but with players Mourinho was chastised for not using. Our performances have simply been not good enough, tonight is no exception. We've been playing shit on a stick football under him as well. Any time we come up against anyone decent, we sit like cowards at start (just like Mourinho). We don't start playing until we concede (just like Mourinho)

Only thing he's got going for him is he says the right things and isn't toxic but football I am seeing is no different.
