That's an excellent question. If news agencies such as Sky had any integrity, they'd be ripping that person apart, right now.Just out of curiosity, who is/are our defensive coach/coaches?

Its a massive insult to the great man, they’re not comparable in any way.Solksjaer is not Alex Ferguson.
It's because no one knows. We don't have any clue what our coaches are responsible outside of the new defensive set piece oneThat's an excellent question. If news agencies such as Sky had any integrity, they'd be ripping that person apart, right now.
Not currently ….I know a lot of oppo fans and they’re forever taking the piss. They’d like nothing better than if Ole was signed up for life.Ole has to be up there with the worst manger we've ever had, we are currently being mocked by every Tom and Harry now!
You still confident he's a goner? Hand on heart, do you believe that the club have been speaking to other managers this week? I have a bad, bad feeling that they're not and this is all a ploy to buy Ole time to do something they can sell to the fans eg beat Spurs or Atalanta. His defenders are not even talking about a title challenge anymore.
I think I was the only Norwegian sceptical of United appointing Solskjær back in des 2018. My feeling all the time has been that he got the job for football-romantic reasons (him being the new Ferguson and being a nice guy who knows the club etc.). He's done a lot better than I thought he would though, I have to give him that.@justsomebloke your thoughts now?
Thank you for your insight into Ole's standing at Molde from a Norwegian pov.
I have been saying that Ole's time at Molde was not anything special, and that we should have seen this coming, but i was rebuked for being 'not Norwegian'.
Skullerud & Moe both breaking records immediately after him is surprising to see. Was it a surprise to Norwegians too, or was it expected?
One stat that stuck out to me was how many goals his Molde side conceded under him. 296 over 241 matches. Is that normal for the big teams in Norway? That lack of stability is identical to us under him too.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not discussing anything United outside this forum. There's no point, we are easy targets for windups and the oppos posting here are most lame and obvious.Ole has to be up there with the worst manger we've ever had, we are currently being mocked by every Tom and Harry now!
Beggars belief, seriously. Someone who gives us "history lesson" conveniently ignores the fact what SAF achieved prior to managing United. After watching one of the greatest managers of all time winning trophies for over 20 years, some of our fans came to the conclusion that any random dude can do the same if he is given 5 years...... Just mental.Impressive you are able to post with your head that deep in the sand. Quite the accomplishment.
This is a forum for Manchester united. Of course it is an echo chamber because anyone who thinks he still deserves the job isn't thinking what is best for the club. This thread is such an echo chamber
Neither have I and it's the reason I think Ole is going to be given another nine or so lives. If the standards so far this season have been accepted there's absolutely no hope of him being sacked unless we're battling relegation. Someone else said on here that our board probably just have a glance at Livescore during and after our games and once we're in reach of the top four they're appeased. Honestly doesn't sound too far from the horrifying truth.I still haven't figured out what metric the board plan to use to measure Ole's performance for the next 3 games. What is acceptable to them and what isn't? Do they even know or will they decide on the fly?
It makes no sense.
If you don't like it then leave. We're taking about United, what other possible topic will dominate right now? This thread is such an echo chamber
Yeah, I wonder if Ole has the balls to mention the Bayern result in the press conference.
Huge insult to Sir Alex to compare him to Ole. I guess we should just play James Wilson up front and eventually he'll bang 42 goals in for us because Ronaldo once did.Disgusted by a lot I’ve read on here over the last few weeks. I hope so much he can turn this round. A history lesson on the link below for those that need it
Sorry, but comparing OGS to arguably the greatest football manager in the history of the sport is frankly laughable“3 years of excuses and it’s still crap… ta ra Fergie” read the banner held aloft as Manchester United fell to a home defeat to Crystal Palace in December 1989.
That loss was part of a calamitous 11-match winless league run that stretched from November to February, ratcheting up the pressure on manager Alex Ferguson.
The Scot had shone as Aberdeen manager but big spending had yet to bring results following his arrival at Old Trafford in 1986.
United slumped home in 13th place in the First Division during the 1989-90 season, but the FA Cup brought some much-needed respite – and provided the catalyst to an unprecedented era of success.
Now please dont take this as a Ole comment, its not. The situations are nearly identical, its a amusing look into the past. Please don't get offended.

You are the most delusional person I've ever seen and I watched inception recently“3 years of excuses and it’s still crap… ta ra Fergie” read the banner held aloft as Manchester United fell to a home defeat to Crystal Palace in December 1989.

Many of you on here are all so unbelievably dramatic it’s unreal. I never ever once said ole is comparable to SAF. If you can’t see the similarities in the situations then that’s up to you. I’m not for one second suggesting this time it’s going to go the same way, merely making the point that Ole can and I hope come back from this. No drama intendedHuge insult to Sir Alex to compare him to Ole. I guess we should just play James Wilson up front and eventually he'll bang 42 goals in for us because Ronaldo once did.
I'm not. Im just pointing out that the criticism is identical. Its a historical curiosity is all.Sorry, but comparing OGS to arguably the greatest football manager in the history of the sport is frankly laughable
I specifically wrote its not a comment on Ole, its a curiosity. You are the most delusional person I've ever seen and I watched inception recently
3 years without a trophy, winless, fans angry. Theyre very similar to the comments in the article. Im not implying anything besides what was written.Except they're not really are they.
Oh yeah, totally identical. Now please dont take this as a Ole comment, its not. The situations are nearly identical, its a amusing look into the past. Please don't get offended.
Yeah just listening to him on today's Talk of the Devils pod released just now. Someone in The Athletic wrote this article (I think someone made a thread on it here) about are ran by a bunch of people learning on the job from Woodward, Arnold, Ole and McKenna. Mitten just rambled on comparing it to others hiring with little experience like Real with Zidane and Barca hiring Pep. Then rambling about blame being passed around everyone. I like Mitten hes a good at what he does, he has many good sources but he's talks like he doesn't want to lose them.I understand why certain fans like Andy Mitten, but I've never been a fan. Always writes a lot of words and that contain nothing of substance. He's a good PR man for Ole though
I worry for you, because i've never seen someone so consistently wrong about everything. I think one of these day - you'll end up breathing down the wrong passage or something, because it's incredible how talented you are at just being wrong.I specifically wrote its not a comment on Ole, its a curiosity.
What's not identical about them?Oh yeah, totally identical.
Depends on what you mean come back. Could he prolong the agony and keep the job in the short term, it’s a possibility given that no one at the club wants to do. If you mean come back and be successful even win one league title let alone get anywhere near the achievements of SAF then no chance. Many of you on here are all so unbelievably dramatic it’s unreal. I never ever once said ole is comparable to SAF. If you can’t see the similarities in the situations then that’s up to you. One of the biggest clubs in the world, finished second place with the previous manager to finish... second place with the new manager in 3 and a half years, with the addition of spending 500 million and getting less points, dour football, no prior history of success. The situations are nearly identical, true. What's not identical about them?

Its not a comment on Ole.
At least you're going down fighting with the sinking ship
