Feet up at home.
Pogba tried this, unfortunately it hasn't gone well for him thus far. I think for the big clubs in England, there are less guarantees with City around.
But it's not really harmed his profile at all has it? Another example I will give is Mkhitaryan will always be remembered from my point of view for making a real difference in the EL campaign, if he'd stayed longer and been shit in the CL games I don't think I would have that feeling so much. I don't understand why insisting on CL football is the be all and end of all as it is always reported, what do they actually get out of it if they aren't good enough to influence it in the long term?

And all the "Dybala not wanting to leave" noice is Juventus trying to make themselves look better? Might be.
Maybe? But that would go against everything thats been said in relation to him not being in Sarri's plans. They could try to spin it i suppose, if/when he does leave, saying "We didn't WANT him to go, but we couldn't guarantee him definite play time, so it was in both parties interests to make the swap happen". That would attempt to appease fans who don't want him to go?

I really don't know. At the end of the day, they've basically told him, by all accounts, that Ronaldo is the main man, and because you don't work well with him, it's either he goes, or you go - and theres no way on earth Ronaldo is leaving. In a way, you have to feel sorry for him, he wants to stay and fight for his place, but he's been told flat out that he's not wanted and won't feature in the managers plans going forward.

There would be absolutely no sense in it, and with our window closing soon, and us needing to ship Lukaku out AND get a replacement asap, if Dybala wasnt interested, or was having doubts, we'd likely pull the plug quickly and sell elsewhere.

My personal take is that Dybala is very keen, and the delays now are haggling over the wages, add-ons, image rights etc. At the same time, I'd imagine the same thing is happening with Lukaku to Juve. The mere fact that things have got this advanced shows that both players are serious about moving
Good post and I agree. If Dybala was dithering or reluctant, Lukaku would not tolerate that kind of uncertainty of his career in someone else's hands.

Surely we'll know how this one ends by the end of tomorrow?

I'm unbelievably sick of this window man. I can't wait for it to end.
After sitting through and watching the garbage from last season, and having to pay for the privilege, I don't want this transfer window to end. I wish we had another month left.

Lukaku leaving United is more important to me than Dybala coming, or any other striker for that matter. Just need Lukaku gone

This. I'm quite sure the talk will be. We are getting Lukaku you will not play if he arrives and i want him over you.

Simply put you are blocking me the manager from getting what i want.
The talk on Juventuz forum is that Lukaku is been pushed mostly by Nedved and especially Paratici who decide on transfers. Lukaku definitely isn't Sarri type of striker or the best fit to play his style of football.

That would explain why he would want to talk to Sarri before making the final decision.

He's come to hear our offer and to enjoy the free food in our swanky Mayfair offices.
That's basically it though, it might not be that he doesn't want to come here it's just that he doesn't know if he wants to yet. He's not really had any time to think about it, this whole thing sort of came out of the blue for everyone.

I think Pogba's stock in England has definitely gone down. Elsewhere, I'm not so sure.

As for EL vs CL, I'm guessing a lot of players see CL as a "promotion" from EL. Bigger wages, more prestige, the whole package. So obviously, as with any other job, players will be reluctant to go to another club for a "demotion" so to speak. It's only the rare ones who will take that step down, and even then they'll require a lot of compensation to do so.

But thats the thing, that can all be done over the phone, e-mails, fax, however you want. We're on VERY limited time now, so if Dybala wasn't interested, then we'd not progress the talks any further, unless Juve were going to pay cash for Lukaku, and by all accounts, that's not going to happen. They want a swap, and we've agreed. Juve won't just offer a player that has absolutely no intention of leaving. There has to be convo's with the player before hand i'd imagine and they'd have to give their permission so to speak, or some strong indication that they're willing to go

If that's true then Sarri will just tell him he doesn't want Lukaku but the club are pushing it. Dybala will then just say he's not leaving and Sarri will ease him back into the team.

Don't believe this thing with South Americans struggling at United. It's a coincidence, nothing more. Dybala is an excellent player and it's Ole's resposibility to find a role for him that would make the team stronger.

Yeah. It's impossible to take a flight from Italy to England.
I just think the time scale is so tight that if he goes there, talks it over with his team mates and management and tries to decide that he’ll just end up staying. As previously explained by others he’s loved there and he’ll probably want to fight for a place at Juve more than anything else.

Part of me wonders whether Pogba has had words and demanded they try to get Dybala or he walks. They worked so well at Juve.

Probably shite but you know, height of muppet season.

Yeah, I don't understand why anyone would hire a South American to play this sport.

I’ve said it earlier in this thread but there is no way it gets to the point of deal agreed between the two clubs and agent in the UK without Dybala giving the go ahead to negotiate. If he says no now then the whole world will know he doesn’t want to play for us and while Ed Woodward is inept at many things, there’s no way he commits commercial Hari-Kiri like that. No way.

also as others have said, it’s not like Juve would just offer him to us and not tell him

Anderson wasn't rubbish, was very good first season when United won the league and CL, had a lot of injuries but overall was much better than most listed there and certainly better than Rojo.
