How much does he make a week?
You mean 'limped painfullyHe needs to stop holding the 4 shirt hostage, if he had a modicum of self respect he would have jogged on to MLS last summer
Pot noodle and a wank.
More than me in a year for doing the square root of diddly squat. How much does he make a week?
A fully fit firing Phil Jones returning for one last dance post-takeover would be the icing on the cake.A twister part of me wants us to trigger his one year option, imagine the scenes on here if it happened what’s the odds he goes to a lower table or newly promoted team and is decent for them ?
There’s bad luck and then there’s bone idle
I know which category Phil Jones belongs in
Hes in the bad luck category then. Developed a blood clotting disease which means he physically cannot recover from basic ailments. If he can't get it right he may have incredibly poor quality of life in later years. There’s bad luck and then there’s bone idle

Too many ignorant people don't want to believe this, they'd rather just keep slagging him off for being injured like he's just chose not to play for the last few yearsHes in the bad luck category then. Well he’s not bone idle, not sure how people reach that conclusion. Clearly his knees are too fecked for this levelThere’s bad luck and then there’s bone idle

I thought his name was PhilHow dare posters ask if Precious Jones can contribute to the club if not by going on loan then in other areas while pocketing £100K/w. There's coaching, marketing, football operations or even volunteer work..
That money can help ease the burden for thousands of United fans suffering from medical conditions such as depression, cancer and so on every year.
But nope, spare a thought only for our precious. Truly remarkable stuff.
I’ve never heard this before. Is this public knowledge? Or something only locals would know?Hes in the bad luck category then. Excellent review of the previous post imoIn keeping with the forum rules.
This post is an absolute cnut.
Its all out there and its all public. No one cares. Rather put out silly face memes.I’ve never heard this before. Is this public knowledge? Or something only locals would know?
More reason to just terminate his contract, pay him up and let him go.I doubt he even shows up to trainings considering hes not in our squads (?). Might come in do some physio or whatever as a free gym and go home
Whilst feeling sorry for the guy if this is the case it does beg the question as to why the club did not take this into account when extending his contract. Surely if the club knew this in 2015 any extension should have been on a heavily incentivsed pay for play deal? Its all out there and its all public. No one cares. Rather put out silly face memes.
He got his first diagnosis of blood clotting in 2015. He developed a weird calf strain from an innocuous bump during training. They were kind of flummoxed until they found an actual blood clot.
That was just the beginning. I'm gutted for him like
Yeah it's a devasting story which I'm sure will get more coverage once he retires. He's a player that always gave his all on the pitch for United. I really don't understand the anger and bitterness towards him.Its all out there and its all public. No one cares. Rather put out silly face memes.

It’s not anger but what’s the use of maintaining the contract. Just pay him up and give him all the money he should get.Yeah it's a devasting story which I'm sure will get more coverage once he retires. Human decency? He’s obviously in a bad physical way as a result of playing for the club. He has a contract. What’s the point in giving him the money under his contract to go away? He’ll have access to the best medical treatment etc. while he’s at the club. Why take that away from him? It’s not like he’s drawing cocks and balls on the tactics board before ETH walks into the room. It’s not anger but what’s the use of maintaining the contract. What’s the use of keeping him around and not playing him anyway? Pay him up and let him make a new start somewhere and wish him all the luck in the world. It’s not anger or bitterness, just common sense. United helped him during all his years of injuries and troubles. Which is good ofcourse. But he seems alright now, so time to make a new start somewhere else.Human decency? He’s obviously in a bad physical way as a result of playing for the club. He has a contract. 13 games played since signing a 4 year contract back in 2019, a stat to be embarrassed about imoWell he’s not bone idle, not sure how people reach that conclusion. Clearly his knees are too fecked for this level
What's the advantage for the club in doing this? It’s not anger but what’s the use of maintaining the contract. Just pay him up and give him all the money he should get.
I assume that you have it on good authority that Phil Jones doesn't do any of the stuff you have mentioned in your post, else why would you write stuff like that. How dare posters ask if Precious Jones can contribute to the club if not by going on loan then in other areas while pocketing £100K/w. There's coaching, marketing, football operations or even volunteer work..

Apart from you having the worst name I ever heard, when was this disease reported? I honestly completely missed this.Hes in the bad luck category then. Developed a blood clotting disease which means he physically cannot recover from basic ailments. If he can't get it right he may have incredibly poor quality of life in later years.
You should get in touch with the club management to deliver them this pearl of advice because you clearly know better than they do…More reason to just terminate his contract, pay him up and let him go.
Why bother paying him? Just invoke a clause in his contract and tell him to feck off. That's what a real club would doWhat’s the use of keeping him around and not playing him anyway? He seemed alright a year ago:

I don’t see myself ranting anywhere. What's the advantage for the club in doing this?
So the likes of you can stop ranting?
I can tellI don’t see myself ranting anywhere.
Not sure how blame is apportioned to the player? It’s not like he goes out to get deliberately injured. He’s got serious issues which can affect him in later life. I don’t it warrants being labelled bone idle. Blame woodie etc13 games played since signing a 4 year contract back in 2019, a stat to be embarrassed about imo
But others to blame as well for offering him that deal to begin with.
I’d love it if it the club exercised their right to give him another year!Like I said months ago, he is retired. Club just allowing him to quietly see out his contract.
