Exactly, you can't spend 6 months searching for a new manager and tell the candidates "but if Ole does well, we won't be needing you".Calm down.
I’m not convinced Pochettino would want to leave a title chasing club with a brand new stadium for the pressure cooker that our club is. Levy is going to do everything to stop him going - pay rise, bigger budget etc and a £40 million pay buy out is chicken feed compared to the risk of letting their most successful manager for years leave? Can someone tell me why everyone wants poch? He’s never won anything. Spurs plays decent not baffling football. And what makes you think he will succeed at United when 3 managers failed? Ole is a perfect fit, and knows football, coaching Molde. It’s just that he now has better players at his dispute. My worries are that people will still want poch here after a decent run from Solskjær, and our problems returning with a new manager who doesn’t nessecarily mean that we are going to play better. Give Ole the job, he’s perfect for the club and we have something good going on with one of our own.
Because it's a huge decision and as much as everyone associated with the club loves Ole, we can't let our emotions influence our decision. You claim Ole knows football because he coached Molde, Poch has coached in Spain and England, with 3 different teams now. He has also coached at a much higher level than Ole.Can someone tell me why everyone wants poch? He’s never won anything. Spurs plays decent not baffling football. So you don't want Poch because he hasn't won anything, yet want Ole, who hasn't won anything of note, just because he's played for the club, despite Pochettino arguably achieving vastly more in superior leagues in managerial terms, half the people here didn't even want Ole before because of the Cardiff situation, three games in and everyone just wants to hand it to him on a silver platter. Really don't get people sometimes, really don't.Can someone tell me why everyone wants poch? He’s never won anything. Spurs plays decent not baffling football. Erm?Still Sparky for me. City, Blackburn, Stoke and Southampton aside, he's a top manager, gets the club and will strengthen us at the back.
The talent is there, he's just been extremely unlucky.Still Sparky for me. City, Blackburn, Stoke and Southampton aside, he's a top manager, gets the club and will strengthen us at the back.
We should appoint a manager on merit not because he loves the club. I don't see how Ole getting paid less has anything to do with it.Imo, one of the differences between Ole and the likes of Poch and Zidane is that Ole wants the job regardless of pay, he simply wants to manage the club he loves.
I reckon Ole would be paid less than half of than what Poch or Zidane would want. Would messers Poch or Zidane still want the job on similar terms? .....I doubt it.
I did not say Ole should get the job, but that unlike others, he’d want the job regardless of pay.We should appoint a manager on merit not because he loves the club. I don't see how Ole getting paid less has anything to do with it.
Ole has won titles as a player, Pochettino has not, maybe except copa del rey. Ole was in our club through our most successful reigns. He knows what it takes to be successful. Pochettino is not proven to be successful even though spurs is a good team. I don’t believe that Pochettino has a wider footballing knowledge to what Ole inherit. More chance we get Moyes back. The talent is there, he's just been extremely unlucky.
His style is very similar to Jurgen Klopp. A very exciting coach and IMO the best candidate for the job. The story is in the unreliable Sun, but the Journalist behind it is Neil Ashton who presents the Sunday Supplement on Sky. He's actually a decent Journalist and there could be something in this. He's basically saying, if Poch turns us down, then Rose would be considered for the job and the board are admirers of the 42 year old. We've been linked to Marco Rose in tonight's papers.
Anyone have an idea of his style?
Thanks. That's the kind of profile I want as well. His style is very similar to Jurgen Klopp. A very exciting coach and IMO the best candidate for the job. I personally hope Poch turns us down if the alternative is Marco Rose.
Klopp style. I’ve just read that he prefers currently a 442 diamond midfield style high energy press. We've been linked to Marco Rose in tonight's papers.
Anyone have an idea of his style?
Interesting, where does that leave Nagelsmann then? I thought Hoffenheim were really happy with him and vice versa.I think Rose is close to succeeding Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim. Dietmar Hopp (owner) was full of praise for him the other day.
He has already agreed to join Leipzig next season.Interesting, where does that leave Nagelsmann then? I thought Hoffenheim were really happy with him and vice versa.
Edit: Just saw he's joining Leipzig. Isn't he more of a defensive coach? Don't know how he'd fare at Leipzig if so.
Allegri will be a step back towards the defensive shit of mourinho. No thanksNot sure why anyone wants to keep OGS at the moment. I understand that he won 3/3 games but usually ManUtd shouldn't drop any points to Huddersfield & Co. . Also each game they conceded to the smaller teams.
There will be Tottenham coming and then 1 month rather smaller opponents (maybe not Leicester) until mid Feb. If he wins all the small games and loses the big that would be still fine. I'd say wait until March to get the tendencies.
If available I'd go with Allegri either way. Imo the best tactician.
Wow, really? Please show us a link? He’s my no.1 choice!!!We've been linked to Marco Rose in tonight's papers.

This is exactly my view as well. Rose would be unreal. His style is very similar to Jurgen Klopp. A very exciting coach and IMO the best candidate for the job. The only way we let Rose go elsewhere is if Poch has already signed. No way we should let Rose & Maric go elsewhere. Those two with McKenna? Wow, we’d be sorted.I think Rose is close to succeeding Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim. Dietmar Hopp (owner) was full of praise for him the other day.
