Shots against the post and bar are shots off target. Poor performance? Yes, but we would normally lose games like this.

And to the United fans saying its not deserved, how many times did we play well and drop points?

I am not judging Pogba of the last two games and happen to think he’s been thrown in unnecessarily given his recent Covid illness. But, let’s be honest, he’s been poor for the outlay. He’s really not worth a new deal. Both sides need to look for something new.
I think we should let him go. Over the last four or five years, it just has not worked out.

Pogba was the worst player on the pitch, by some distance. I gave him a rating of 1. He has recently recovered from Covid-19, and he should be cut a little slack.

He isn't close to form and fitness yet.
If he is as bad in a few weeks, I'd be inclined to agree with you.

Really disappointed by some of our "fans", writing off the manager, team and players, after 30 minutes of our second game.
What would they think if they were watching us 1- 0 down, get hammered by Bayern, constantly hitting the woodwork, for 90 minutes?
AWB was our worst. 0/10.

So many players not up to speed, very pedestrian, especially first half. Noticeable that second half we passed the ball quicker, and looked more like a team until we went in front, then we slowed the play again, why? I like AWB, but his positioning sometimes is awful, like the second goal, we had three central defenders, but he still took up a position almost centre of the goal, not far post. De Gea really didn't have many saves to make in all honesty, thought Shaw was one of our better players today, Maguire and Lindelof are to slow as a pair, Connelly showed our lack of pace, although they both played a little better, especially Lindelof, I still prefer Bailly. Matic was ok, but still slow in closing down, Pogba again disappointing, marking was poor, passing was poor, what's wrong with this guy? Fernandes was not really in the game, but even so created the best chances, and brilliant penalty. Front three didn't get a lot of opportunities, basically because we were so slow in the build up, Rashford showed little glimpses of form, shown in his goal, Martial's touch was not great, but thought Ben White kept him quiet, good player. Greenwood was a bit hot and cold, but he's still learning. Fred didn't really get into the game a lot, but several good passes and challenges, to me he gives the energy that is lacking when Matic and Pogba play. Bailly got some good interceptions, and almost got to the cross for Brighton's second goal, must be Maguire's partner in my opinion, VDB actually made some intelligent runs, and was instrumental in our winning goal, getting the corner. Very lucky to get three points today, but we will play much better than this and get no points.
Naughty, you mustn't criticize Mr Pogba.

Luckiest win ever. If they scored 5 goals, it would have been fair.
We are horrible and we played our best 11 so clearly its the manager. You gotta question him after a horrible performance like that.
Strangely it feels awfully satisfying cuz in the end we won at the buzzer but it also feels like a loss. We were dominated by Brighton.

How can you look at that performance and not be critical of it? You are only helping the opposition if you continue to back such a shite performance. We broke another negative record today, after breaking one last week against Palace. This is not a good look for a United team that use to win leagues and trophies consecutively.

What exactly is the opposition? Ole? Woodward? Who is your enemy here?

Know what does not help the team at all? Negative whining fans. Fans that go on social media and slaughter the team and coaching staff left and right like its your job.

Imagine being a fan of this club and not being happy that we win.

Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talking to BT Sport: "We got away with one. Maybe one point we deserved, we didn't deserve more. But the character deserved more.

"Last season we had too many draws, so that is a big plus for us. You have to be happy Jose is not here to measure the goal posts.

"They are a difficult team to play against. We don't have the legs and sharpness but we will get there. We have plenty of work ahead."

You could clearly see what system of play we're trying to achieve, only someone blind wouldn't. The boys just haven't hit match fitness yet. The way we played is irrelevant and can not be judged because our squad is thin and Brighton is a absolutely fantastic team.

What a shitshow that was...
I almost bit :D

Really can't get all the complaints everywhere on the internet on our pen. Rival fans are way too salty.

We badly need a new CB, a new winger and preferably a new manager too. Delighted with that hilarious win though it's made my weekend, but yeah we ain't making top 4 with our current setup.

A player with all the skills but no balls, how many times do we see him pushed off the ball and harried by opposition players, most of them smaller than he is? Too many.

Opposition being our main rivals for trophies and at the state of our club, top four trophy. If we don’t criticize such a bad performance and just look at the scoreline, we will not accomplish anything significant this season. Such type of performance is what eventually led to Mourinho, Lvg and Moyes to get sacked. The only difference is that Ole has this incredible luck that even science can not explain.

What a shit show, more than lucky to get a result here.

Loved Rashford's goal, shows that he can still do that.

One thing I notices, not now since he didn't really have the time to make an impact, but last two games that VDB is looking for fast flowing 1-2 passes, always asking for the ball back immediately and it very rarely gets recognized, as if he's used to a much different way of playing and the other players just don't understand it.

We were very fortunate today. They had 5 shots on target, 5 posts and about 1 or 2 that went wide that other players bury. All in all thankful for the 3 points and lets move on. Great goal by rashford.

They were robbed. We stole the game from them. They hit the post 5 times and their stupidity cost them the match. We were terrible.

So your suggestion is that: We criticize the team, so they play better? Do you think they need to be told that this wasn't a great performance?

Or is the goal here to criticize the team so they fire the manager?
Or is the goal to criticize the team so that we get new signings?

Which one are you trying to accomplish here?

Just a couple of months ago when this same team was doing well, people were saying it's not due to the manager, but rather the quality of the players. Not they are playing poorly so that's on the manager.

What luck? So when he wins he’s lucky and when he loses it’s because he’s a bad manager? No clearer way to show you don’t know what you’re talking about.

We'll get better, stop talking rubbish and support the team.

We need to start Bailly and Van Beek instead of Lindelof and Pogba though.

The last two games proved that we do not have a proper coaching staff that can improve and motivate our players. Why some of our players were jogging in the first half and some looked like headless chicken while Ole was sitting in his chair staring in that monitor like everything is fine on the bloody pitch. It does not matter if we buy Sancho, Messi or whoever, we are still going to play atrocious football. I love Ole as a person and player but as a head coach he has no business to lead one of the biggest clubs in the world. How is possible that a club like Albion looks way more organized on the pitch with a clear plan what to do than us, this is totally unacceptable.

Our fitness seems to be off, but there are surely bigger problems. How we constantly let one Brighton player stand all alone on the backpost. How we can’t find ways through their pressure, we just move it slowly at the back until we get pressured then just give it away. Our attackers are isolated and have to pull off magic tricks on their own to ger things done. Our staff needs to up their game, soon!

Defensively our structure is all over the place and they exploited it perfectly, they were very unlucky today.

A lot for us to improve on on the training pitch, we need to kick on now.

Clear as day we need more firepower on the front line. We hardly troubled their back line, putting incredible pressure on our back line. Our back line needs to improve, but we’re not buying three or even two new defenders in this window. And we’re definitely not ditching AWB, who was abysmal today.

I don't really want to agree, although you may be right.
He has hardly had a run of games with a functioning team. Only 13 league starts last term, and not the best preparation.
Does he deserve a pay rise based on what he has done for us? No.
He does deserve a chance to see what he can do when he is fit, in an improved team.
I wouldn't be gutted if he left.

It's because most of the time we win by the brilliant individual play and not because the team plays well.

Played rubbish but won. Some say that's the sign of champions. But that's Palace and Brighton who have looked the better team in the two games.
Just looks like last season again.
