It finishes 3:1 and United should be in control of this tie now. Fellaini's late goal could prove crucial with a two goal buffer going to Brugge. The visitors have a valuable away goal so they will really go for it in the second leg.

United had plenty of chances to score goals in the second-half but wayward finishing let them down until Fellaini found the net. Brugge looked dangerous on the counter-attack but never really threatened Romero.

Still plenty to do to qualify for the group stages but United should be strong favourites now.

Thank feck for that 3rd goal.

Memphis was brilliant, 2 goals and an assist. That was a good watch.

Should've had five and shouldve conceded two or three. Pretty dodgy performance.

If we play like that every week I'll be very happy. Third goal was crucial. I was just about to complain about how we were constantly going to Fellaini when he came on having carved them open all day, and then he scored

Good performance against a weak team, we should have scored 5 but a good with nonetheless. Good cameo from Hernandez I thought and Memphis was class.

Loved it. Really fun match. Buzzing with that goal, mind you. Much needed and much deserved.

I was about to go ape shit for been wasteful when they scored the 3rd. I feel more relaxed going to Belgium now. Hernandez look far more dangerous than Rooney. He should start next week.

Pretty much the opposite of what we saw in our first two games. Game was very open for both sides. Not sure if that was deliberate or not. LVG said pregame Brugge were going to be very defensive and could play with five defenders so maybe their attacking approach surprised him.

such an important goal, as a jamtastic 1-0 could have put us out.

Lovely work Memphis and FellainI!

What a great game! Wonderfully entertaining.

Rooney showing signs of coming back to life, goals for Memphis, Smalling still awesome, Shaw beastly, Hernandez has a new haircut.

  • Memphis is fantastic.
  • Fellaini is a striker, official. A good one too. 9 goals in 14.
  • Rooney is sub-able. Was better than Villa but wasn't hard.
  • Smalling is in top class form.
  • Romero was shaky.
  • Bastian Fecking Schweinsteiger.
  • Worst defensive display of the season for chances available for the opposition.
  • End to end game without much central midfield control, felt like Fergie days.

We actually played really well, the attack looked so much more fluid than before. Though that could just be because we were against an injury stricken Brugge side.

3-1 flatters them to be honest, wasted far too many chances and the final ball was lacking at times.

Memphis, take a fecking bow

Excellent game to watch, very enjoyable. Fellaini proving once again how vital he can be, totally different option to what else we have. Memphis was superb. So was Smalling.

Great game, this is how we should be playing all the time, we should have scored more but i'd still be happy with the performance even with 2-1.

The felliani sub was superb.

Wanted a 3 goal lead. 2 goals will do. 2-1 would have been a poor result for all our dominance.

Memphis was immense in the first half. He looked out of steam in the second, strolled it but looked to have lost concentration.

Rooney looking a hell of a lot sharper, but still a way off yet.

Schneiderlin is solid as feck.

Fellaini!

Good performance. We still need to click in attack, still lacking creativity at times but we looked threatening tonight more often than not.

Schweinsteiger is better than Carrick but that's not a surprise, obviously. Depay should get plenty of confidence from this but he was visibly knackered by the end. Still got an assist as well but he should have had a hat-trick, that would have been wonderful.

Played well although a couple of stool in pants mistakes. Should've been out of sight before then though, Memphis is just immense.

Hernandez looked much better leading the line than Rooney.
The interchange between Depay, Januzaj and Rooney was good.
Smalling has been really really good
Fellani comes. Fellani scores.
I love Darmian!
