Good result and moral boost.
I thought blind and rojo were pretty good.
I thought blind and rojo were pretty good.
I said it the match day thread that he is a far better CB than fullback. He's not top class by any means, but he's a good bench and squad rotation option.Impressed with Rojo today which is something I didn't think I'd ever say!
You could arguably say we were under strengthen, since none of us really have a scooby what our strongest team is.Feels very good to win that, I think the players and especially Jose probably needed it. We played a good second half and really should have scored one or two more. City were under strength but A) they didn't need to be and B) They brought on £90m of attacking talent who did nothing. Well done to the team
Be nice if we started with that intensity. Sick of the slow starts. Now, we really need to show the same second half intensity vs Burnley.
They still brought Aguero and Sterling on. I agree that we were supposed to win but I won't buy for a second that they didn't want to win it.We're through, as you'd expect of a full strength United vs a very weakened City. Anything other than a win would have been a disaster. City didn't really look like they wanted to win the game.
I am happy with it...but personally I would not have cared anyway is what I was saying...meaning I would not have a proper meltdown like some numpties in here.Mate, we needed a win - things were getting desperate. Whether it came in the League Cup or any other competition, we needed this.
Certainly. City needed it too, if they lose/draw next game against WBA they will be under immense pressure.Boy did you need that.
City reserve team.City had 0 shots on target.
