People will still be negative little shits I expect, but there was plenty to be positive about in that performance, how about we just enjoy a victory.

Easy.

Bring the right players in this summer and I think we have a genuine chance next season. For all our ups and downs do look the business when we play at our best.

Deserved. That was a bloody good away performance. With better composure we could have doubled this scoreline.

Luke Shaw should win every award going this season. He's just so damn good. Even without the goal. His passing and ball retention is excellent. Brought the ball forward really well. Top performance.

If only we didn't drop points against sheffield, everton, west brom and crystal palace.

Get in United!! Was not expecting this result, delighted with the performance today and we worked really hard. We need to use this as a spring board now for the final stretch of the season.

10 points out of 12 in last 2 seasons in the league and those points came for City when they came to OT and parked the bus

For all the idiot matchday thread comments that was a superb performance.
Could and should have won by more, and limited them to some half chances. Even the ones that flashed past Sterling at 60mph weren't exactly bankers.

United has got the big games figured out - but HAVE to beat the bottom half teams on a regular basis.
What? We’ve literally dropped points in every single “big 6” game before today. This was a great return to playing well in a big game and getting the result to match.

3 away derbies in a row playing basically the same way.

Cue the "we can't pass", "ole is shit" posts in the match thread.

Pretty comfortable to be honest. Deserved win and the defence was fantastic. Martial was excellent and so was Shaw. McFred did their usual job well.

Definitely think that was a big match for securing top 4

I'm not convinced those front three of City are truly elite players. Sterling was just awful....AWB had him AGAIN . They'll blow the champions league with performances like that. Scary thought what they'd be with Haaland or a world class striker.

That game right there is all about highlighting the importance of Anthony Martial. Best performance of the season and it was immediately clear why we have struggled all season without him. Holding up the play, winning fouls, beating players, absolutely sensational today. Only thing missing was the finish on that big chance which he should have buried. I refuse to fully give up on him, class act of a player and key to all our good performances.

Where were our patterns of play?? Hahaha

Great result, could have scored a couple of more.

Nice one. A few scary moments. We give the ball away too easy and the inability to complete short passes is infuriating. But it's nice to get a win and some first class performances, especially from Shaw and Martial (although he should have scored).

We should have won by more tbf (but I guess city did create a lot of half chances that we scuppered), what an effort by the lads.

Good performance. It’s just a shame that the league has already been wrapped up. That would’ve been some game otherwise.

If we hadn’t dropped such easy points we’d easily be in the title race, I know hindsight is easy but what a chance we’ve thrown away
I mean that's what title races are all about. We're good enough to beat anyone on our day with the strength of our Starting XI but just not consistent enough and don't have the goal scorers to go on a winning run like City just did.

Surprised James isn't one of the higher rated players. He did very well.
Shaw obvious MOTM.

City paid for loose finishing, but still and excellent performance by the defence.

Henderson is almost like having a real goalkeeper. He must be number 1 from here on.

Terrific performance. Comfortably the better team, even with City's 'patterns.'

Imagine if we hadn’t dropped points against Palace, WBA, and Sheffield United. Would have an actual title race.

Good win nonetheless.
