Needed more runners in the end. All of Bruno, Sancho and Pogba wanted the ball played to their feet.

Matic, have some shame and retire.

Ole, I really want to believe you’re not a PE teacher but playing a one-man midfield is not and will never be the answer.

Lot of average performances on that pitch today. Nearly threw it away as well.

poor first half. quality start to the 2nd half and then the team decided around the 70th minute to just shut it down and start doing some of the dumbest shit you are going to see all weekend. killed all momentum.

We played like we were leading by 3 goals. No urgency whatsoever even after we equalized.

This SUCKED. Very regrettable 2 points that we couldn't afford to lose if we still want to win the league. Clear mistakes in team selection from Ole. Not having a reliable DMF is a big issue and Martial is a waste of space who should NEVER start.

fans on here will overreact. It was a really tough game to have.

Massive, filthy side that presses with intensity. If you have an off day, you'll be lucky to get the 3 points and we were off the boil.

All in all, happy with a point. You can’t win them all

Feels like one of those days again. We can’t keep momentum up in matches against sides like these. Too often we’ll have maybe 10-15 good minutes a half, it’s not enough I’m afraid. I expect us to get a lot better as the season goes on but if we drop too many points early on again we’ll be in for a dull season.

fecking shit.

We are notat a point where we can arrogantly our best players on the bench and think we have enough to beat them anyway...we don't.

Varane and Sancho on the bench? Why?

Donny must be thinking, the feck did I spend so much time in the gym!

Ole was more worried about protecting the away record than getting a win.

Seriously, what kind of shit was that. Such a cowardly approach.

Lacklustre performance as usual. Maguire needs a kick up his arse. The amount of times he spent walking with the ball for eternity before releasing it was unacceptable. Looks like we are not even fit.

If anybody else has played even nearly as well as Greenwood and Pogba we would’ve won. The game summed up our issues in midfield. Just not good enough for a title challenge.

We haven't really improved, can't see how we're going to beat city/chelsea maybe liverpool to the title at the moment.

Sad to see

Completely unprofessional from a fair few of them.

Our central midfield is absolutely terrible. But we know this.

The Wan-Bissaka-Lindelof-Fred trio on the right are constantly awful in tight games like this.

Phew! Hanging on at the end there. Strangely poor and sloppy display. 2 points dropped, good point gained? I'm not even sure which. Anyway, hopefully better next weekend.

Matic unsettled Fred and they both ended up poor. McFred works much better but still not good. We're going to be talking about this problem all season

This game showed the need for a top class DM to stop Southampton from building up their momentum after the equaliser. Matic, Fred & McT just aren’t good enough.

Not a good game but the most worrying bit is we didn't trouble them after 80'.

Feels like Southampton players were in better shape.

A body blow after last week. We'll win feck all playing like that.

Cavani is so badly missed. We win that all day with him over Martial.

The momentum we through away around the 68th minute after Harry gifted Armstrong that golden chance was awful. Before that it looked like we were a shoe in for winning it. Frustrating.

I thought our control was lacking throughout. We looked good when southampton surrendered midfield to us but once they brought a midfielder back on our possession and chances went back to being patchy

Just sloppy as feck. They pressed us high up the pitch and the players didn't know how to move it up effectively. So many misplaced passes showing the weakness we have in midfield. Just fecking sloppy.

Pogba, Bruno, Greenwood were good. Lindelof decent enough too, Maguire kept getting him in trouble. The rest were pretty shit.

Well I'm going to be level headed and say Southampton are a decent team and getting a draw there wasn't too bad given its the start of the season and Sancho hasn't got going yet and varane is still to come in - as well as cavani and rashford eventually.

Everyone going into meltdown need to get a grip.
