Some of the players were rusty, but you cant keep playing like that and expect to win the big 2 trophies. 1 shot on target all game is woeful. Credit to Romero as you couldnt tell we hadnt got De Gea in goal, a couple of fine saves. Lets see what the window brings in and ships out.

Yawn. Annoyed at Mourinho as I have increasingly become throughout the season. Guy can't leave the club soon enough. Absolute dead rubber game, yet he doesn't include a single youth team player in the 18. Why? Why? This is exactly the situation that we made fun of Chelsea for as they always ignored them, and they always made excuses. Now it's United fans backtracking to make excuses for Mourinho. Say it like it is. Mourinho is a negative manager who just doesn't trust youth players. 2 huge points against him when talking about United managers. Just goes against everything we represent as a club. Even all this talk about him playing McTominay... McTominay is turning 22 later this year and is 6'4". I'd suspect that has a lot more to do with it, more then anything.

Anyway. At least we're in better form then Chelsea going into the FA Cup final. Hopefully for next season Mourinho has some sort of epiphany over the summer and completely changes everything he's ever done and decides to be more attack minded. Not holding my breath though.
I couldn't agree more.

Carrick showed that he should have been more involved this year, and Romero proved once again that if De Gea does leave we are in good hands. He is the best "back up" keeper in the world, and I would put him in the top 10 for all keepers. Class act. But this match was about Carrick. MOTM and not just a sentimental vote. Rojo was fantastic too and I'm not a big fan of his...

Should have played Gomes and Chong. Might be something interesting to watch. No Martial is a sign he is off. Thanks Carrick for everything. Jose is a boring bstard, played the last few games like a testimonial.

We crossed 80 point mark. I am psychologically happy about it, if that makes sense.

Now better bring our A game to the cup final.

Dull and boring match, just like many of our games this season. Hopefully there will be massive improvement in performance next season

Forgettable game...wasn’t expecting much, and the team didn’t let me down!

It’s all about the cup final but I just don’t know how we can expect this team to be able to turn up and play to win. Time will tell.

Regardless of how I feel about our style, the fact that we conceded only 9 goals at home is a step in the right direction. OT is a fortress again.

The dullest season in recent memory? It's the best season in 5 years. Wins over Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal. The football has been garbage but at times we've had some excitement too. Especially making a habit of winning from behind in recent months.

Maybe he will bring in an attack minded sidekick now Faria's going. Fingers crossed. I can remember folks on here thinking he would be playing Gomes in a few games when he played the end of last season. Mourinho will never change.

Did the players come back out or Jose did a speech?

The players went straight down tunnel then my stream ended.

I didn't bother watching the match. I assumed it would be a boring mess. Was I correct?

It doesn't matter who he brings, he's still the boss and his general philosophy of football will be respected or the new assistant will leave.
He's at an age, he will never change. We have to learn to accept it, the new assistant will change feck all

That’s being far too negative. We’ve seen Fergie’s approach change with new assistants. No reason Mourinho’s can’t too. He’s just never had someone to give him fresh ideas. I’d be very hopeful that the right appointment could be a good influence on him. Obviously, the right appointment is not an easy call to make.

Time will tell of course. I highly doubt that we'll see Mourinho change much regardless of who works with him. For all we know, he could be looking for someone who shares the same ideas of football he does.

Wonder if Rashford is on is way out?
I remember a young player who looked happy out there, who tirelessly took players on and tried to make things happen. Now, he constantly looks like he's at a funeral. Every time he gets the ball he turns around looking for a safe pass. Sad to see.

We are officially the most boring team in the PL....Thanks Mourinho.

And why the feck did he not give Chong or Gomes a few mins, it wouldn't have changed his plans for the cup final so bemused with decision.

I cant see much improvement next year....sad times!!

Dull, dull, dull. I don't know why but I expected something a bit more exciting as it was the last game and everything had been decided but I should have known better.

The crowd was up for it, last game of the season, Carrick last game, singing for Fergie and him being better.

They deserved much more, second line up or not. That's all.

Very poor quality again today. We are at our most comfortable playing at walking pace. Whenever we try to quicken, our attacks were regularly killed by underhit passes, passes behind the on-running player, or Rashford turning around. Glad it’s all over, and have little optimism for next season as it stands.

He’s been poorly managed just like Martial and Pogba etc. Mouriniho hasn’t a clue when it comes to attacking players. He’s put Rashford out of position, drained his confidence by never playing him and clearly hasn’t man managed him allowing him to display arrogance and immaturity all the time.

The modern footballer needs to be managed properly as they can let it all go to their head. Look at the difference with Pep and Sterling.

This place is fecking hilarious. Depressed people who come here to cry because they probably have depressed lives. Players want to keep themselves fit for the world cup/final. Players who haven't played much and can't care either. Its all about the final.

I think Woody has a sponsorship deal with the Insomnia insitute and it just hasn't been announced yet, at least we got one last great pass from Carrick.

Yes I would go with that. I would hope its Carrick as his new No 2, but whoever it is he needs to listen to them or whats the point? Its a good excuse for him to look how the football style is and change.

I am happy the season is nearly over. Usually at this point I am starting to be concerned about the summer, weekends escorting the partner around the shops as she spends my money on nonsense. Mourinho makes that seem potentially entertaining in comparison.

Poor game, not helped by my stream constantly freezing

Was always going to be though wasn't it. 6 days off the FA cup final, with a lot of rotations.

Hope Chelsea are as shocking as they were today.

It was always going to be like that even if we weren't in the final.
