Romero
Dalot Varane Lindelöf Shaw
McTominay
Lingard Brooks
Greenwood Rashford Martial

Squad/Subs : Henderson, Williams, Sessegnon, Jones, Matic, Fred, Garner, Gomes, Chong

I suspect Pogba with go to Real Madrid and we'll insist on Varane coming the other way. The three amigos are also likely to go this year, Herrera to PSG, Mata to Barca & DDG to Real/PSG. Ole will put his faith in youth. I would like to see an experienced midfielder come into the fold, maybe Kroos, but cant see him wanting to come into a young side, but could be wrong.

That team, comfortably finishes outside the top 6.

Lacks goals, looks vulnerable at the back and is playing players, out of position.

As per the title, its a prediction, not what I would like to see. I cant see us spending big money after the money we have wasted over the last 4 years. I can see several big first team players leaving and we are more likely to replace them with youth. As I alluded to would like to see Kroos /or maybe a Saul come into midfield, particularly if Pogba leaves. Don't see us spending £100m on one single player like Sancho or Koulibaly.

What I expect the club to do:

Romero
Young Smalling Lindelöf Shaw
Matic
Fred Rabiot
Rashford Sánchez Martial
Just the thought of that lineup is depressing. Like that is the worst of the worst scenarios. Sanchez, young and matic all at once next season is enough to make one run mad.

Not a prediction more wishful thinking

...............Courtouis........

Dalot....Lindelof..Koulibaly...Shaw.....

..................Rice.................
..........Fred........Eriksen........

Sancho......Lukaku........Coutinho...

I’m not anti any of these players but if De Gea, Herrera, Pogba don’t want to be here then it’s time to go. It’s clear talent isn’t the problem with many players. Martial has had 4 seasons and not improved at all. It’s ruthless but that’s a long time waiting, if spurs wanted him and could be used to get eriksen, then so be it.

What's the point? We'll play same old shitty players and perform poorly and back to square one where we look forward to the forthcoming season and hope for a change. In the midst of this, we'll buy some average players and pay them hefty wages. And the vicious cycle continues until we turn into Liverpool and not win the league for 30 odd years.

If Young is still anywhere near the first team come next season it's a declaration of us forfeiting any silverware from the start.

I think we overachieved in the first 12/13 games when Ole came in because the players were trying to prove that Jose was wrong (since Jose condemned the squad for how shitty they were). And now we are seeing the actual capabilities of the squad and coupled with tactical errors from Ole, we are at 5 losses in 7 games. I'm not saying that Ole is the wrong guy for the job but he's made some huge blatant errors... Starting Young in every game and having him be captain was just wrong. Playing Lindelof as a RB when Dalot is available and playing our best performing CB out of position to accommodate a shitty defender in Jones was just brainless in my opinion. This squad needs a huge overhaul but sadly that won't happen. We will continue to have Smalling, Young and Jones feature as they do their bit part in helping us achieve the top 4 which is what the Glazers require us to do.

Current guess:

Martial-----Rashford------Sancho---
-----Pogba---------Fred----------------
--------------Rice-----------------------
Shaw-Lindelof-Smalling-WanBissaka
------------De Gea--------------------

with Ole only wanting to sign young and safe (in the sense of likely not to flop) options.
I'm adding Manolas, Umtiti or Alderweild to this.

Let pogba and lukaku go to help fund this, as well as the ones we know need to be moved on and give our young guns a chance of some game time.

Is it good enough for a title challenge ? No
Is it good enough for a Top 4 challenge ? Debatable
Is this going to be another c*ck up in the transfer window ? Likely

This is the most realistic player list for this summer:
Aldervard
Fernandes
Meunier
Jovic ( we may need to pay over the odds but well worth it)
Ndombele or rice.
Brooke's.

I just find it so strange that people still think Rashford is the man to lead us up front. Everyone list Sancho, Martial and Rashford. They don't have enough goals in them. We are in desperate need of a real striker. It's gonna be so hard getting anyone. And by now everyone wants Sanchez money. We really are in a bad position.

I don't get it either. He's poor a lot more than he's good. He needs upgraded.

The thread is to predict. Sadly our wishes don't come true anymore so we predict the most likely team that would play upfront. Martial just signed a long term contract, Rashford is Ole's striker and Sancho is heavily linked. Sigh

They would be a good 3 to have BEHIND a striker, take a punt on Luká Jovic
And play 4-2-3-1

Bench: Rashford, Smalling, Dalot, Lingard, Sanchez, Lukaku, Grant

Phase one of the rebuild: Pogba De Gea out, money reinvested, Mata, Herrera, Darmian and Rojo gone also.
Phase two: Sanchez released and Lukaku sold if no return next season also.
Phase three: Win the PL.

United wont go nuts, buying 2-3 100 million players, they just wont do that..
My prediction: Sidébe, 35 m. Manolas 35 m.(rc) Ndidi 50 m. Leon Bailey 50 m.
Might Swap Sidébe for Meunier
And Ndidi for Rice..

I quite like the idea of having 2 strikers that pull wide to create space in the middle. The cost of this lot will likely be near 300 mil but i do believe there will be a lot of outgoings and the fringes of our squad will be made up predominantly of some of the super talented youngsters we have.

Outs - Grant (0), Jones(10), Bailly(15), Darmian(5), Rojo(5), Herrera (0), Mata (0), Sanchez (0), Lukaku (50) Perriera (15)

INS - Wan Bissaka (40), Alderierweld (25), Rabiot (0), Neves (65), Felix (100), Sancho (90)
