Southampton are the new us/Newcastle/Sunderland, team that can't really score, win at home and just spend seasons in bottom six of premier league without actually getting relegated.
4 years ago they had a team of Alderwield, Van Dijk, Mane, Tadic, Schnderlein and Wanyama. Sold all them which was inevitable but replaced them with Wesley Hoedt 15m), Boufal (20m) and Guido Carrillo (18m). All were flops so it dosen't make much for those games you were winning 2-1 to turn and lose them 2-1 and then you start sliding down the league.

I don't think it's the manager to be fair. Southampton have struggled for years now to rebuild the team after being gutted, and look a doomed club. Just treading water.
It's a bit of a mismatch of a squad since their shrewd transfers deserted them. They keep getting that new manager boost but once it wears off nobody is doing much with them long term.

Still find it crazy that no CL team went for Tielemans in the summer. He took to the PL like a duck to water last season and £40m was a clear bargain.

If we took him away from Leicester, it most likely would've scuppered the Maguire deal.

Nah, deal was more or less sealed before the transfer window opened. He liked it with us when he was on loan and I doubt he'd have wanted to come to your club. He'll certainly go at some point if he keeps his form but until then we're going to enjoy him.
