City-Liverpool is by far the deadest rivalry of two title challenging teams in the Premier League era.
Don't forget games against Arsenal, ManCity, Tottenham and Crystal Palace were referees and VAR somehow found ways to give us hard times by wierd game-deciding decisions.
I’m not even saying title charge. As we sit any team could go on a run after Christmas and really go for it. Who knows what team is where come February. January could be a massive window this season.

They've had some of the best matches I can remember watching in the past few years. They just lack the ferocity and hatred for each other that you'd associate with a proper rivalry like United vs Arsenal/Liverpool a couple decades back
