Premier League Gameweek 24

Watching MOTD now...Salah chance on 10 mins, goes down like a sack of spuds looking for a penalty. No mention. Mane shortly after, ankle high, sneaky challenge on the defender. No cries for a red from the commentator. Yet these Scouse pricks think they’re hard done by. Twats.

Henderson been to the Robertson school of shouting as the attacker strikes a shot.

I mean there are pretty strong arguments that the first and second goal of Leicester shouldn't have stood (offside and foul in the build up).

What argument is there for the first goal? It would have been a pen without var too. So you can't then moan about the goal when var have deemed it onside anyway?!

Id have to see the second goal again but it looked a simple defensive howler.

Against Aston Villa last season, it was mostly unanimous for many of us that the Bruno penalty wasn't actually a pen, given he stamped down on the Villa player.

How is the Gundogan pen not getting as much fanfare as that incident did?
I don’t get this, he kicks through gundogans standing right left with his left. It’s clumsy and there is clear contact. It doesn’t matter that his left foot lands on him first, that’s not what the penalty is for.

Hojberg just gets too tight and then stupidly kicks through him, no excuses for that unfortunately.

The way the lines are drawn are all over the place (). I like VAR, but the implementation sometimes has been ridiculous. Using mm analysis for situations where you can't exactly know (when the football was kicked, which area of the body is closest to the goal etc.) is beyond dumb. And even when they use this kind of analysis, they often get it wrong. The photo in the tweets show that the blue line is nowhere near Firmino's foot and then green line does not start at Amartey's sleeve. And the people asking for a VAR time limit should realise that that will make VAR mistakes way more prominent because of the time pressure.

I forgot if the original decision (before VAR) was a penalty or not but if it was a penalty then you make a fair point.

The second one Mane is clearly fouled (pushed: ) allowing Leicester to win back possession, counter and score.

Hah?? Gundogan kicked Hojberg's right foot back ankle first. It's as clear as summer in Sahara.

If you look at it from behind, Gundogan reaches out and trips Holberg

It's definitely a foul by Gundogan, he studs his ankle. Seems akin to that penalty we somehow got given against Villa at their place last season.

When did we last play in the middle of the day? It feels like its been months!

Big Brom today.
It is. I went to mauritius in December and this is the first time we are playing at 6pm our time (most of the games have been midnight here)

Armstrong and Ings are two great players.

Hope Southampton win. Southampton were probably the team that I would have least like to beat 9-0.
Why couldn't it have been Burnley etc.

Adama Traore surely is the most overrated player in the Premier League. Yes he is extremely quick, yes he is really good at running at players - but I have rarely seen a player with so little end-product as Traore

I looked up his stats and they are even worse than I expected - 5 goals and 12 assists would be good stats in one season - but when those are the stats of your entire P.L career - 126 matches - it's awful.

He had a purple patch last season but seems to have reverted back to his underwhelming self.

It’s hojbergs left leg kicking gundogan for why the penalty was given. Forget the first bit and watch his trailing leg come through and kick him

I've honestly still not recovered from someone suggesting he's the best player in the world earlier in the season, I forget which thread.

Is there a team in the world who like to make things harder for themselves than United?
