They had a better market that us, and spent a lot and reasonably well on all their weakness points. Their squad is stronger and more balanced than us at the moment. They have been planning well and are ripping the fruits.
Our attack can be almost as potent as them (If not quite) with proper coaching. We are certainly not too far away from them in terms of personnel, especially with Shaw improving.

This is frankly some fantastic stuff from Liverpool. The flow and movement is outstanding, on par if not even better than City's. The comparisons with old United are merited.

And Leicester really isn't that bad. It's just that other team's better.

Liverpool front three are amazing. Not only are they great players individually, they complement each other so well they basically make each other(and the rest of the team, for that matter) even better

Hoping a Vardy-less Leicester score against Liverpool.
I'm out chaps. No chance.

They do not have a better squad, it is just better coached and are far more positive. Their team has played the same style of football from day one Klopp came here, it helps the players to to be cohesive and have that continuity.

Alisson has only been in the league two minutes and he's already the most overrated keeper around. every save he makes is apparently "great" or "outstanding"

Agreed, he's not really done anything special. The defence deserve more praise than he does, as he's barely had anything to do.

The emotions of football fans are a peculiar thing,

Let me begin with the disclaimer that in comparison to our performances this season, Liverpool have been much better in this opening 20.they are clearly a very strong side and will likely have a good season.

I have been watching this game as neutrally as possible imagining if Liverpool’s performance was a united one would we be buzzing. Nobody, with any honesty can say we would. They’ve been dominant and they certainly have a front foot attitude we lack. They circulate the ball quicker not in an attacking sense but in terms of rebuilding

But has it been scintillating? Has it been a ‘joy to behold’? As the commentator said. A post in here said they are playing like the united of old and one could be forgiven in recent weeks for thinking they’d be tuning in to see an exhibition of joyous football.

It’s not. It truly isn’t anything like it. And that is not to detract from Liverpool at all. But they’ve been incredibly hard working, have attacking intent and have front players that can score from nothing. There has been stray passes, poor decisions in the final third, plenty of times they turned backwards (which is fine).

Why must people torture themselves by pretending to see something that blatantly isn’t evident? Again that’s not to criticise Liverpool, but every neat turn or pass isn’t indicative of some flawlessly oiled attacking machine. They’re very much a work in progress and are currently playing with confidence. Stop exaggerating.

Just watching Football Focus and they had a 10 year birthday fluff piece for Man City.

Alex Scott had the last word... she said "I think Man City and Guardiola have really put the Premier League on the map world wide now. The best player's are now looking on and thinking they'd like to come here".

Lost for words.
The media’s hype fest with City is revolting. And so misinformed.

No matter how much money and success City has, they will never be football royalty in the same way as some other big clubs are. Ask Neymar and Mbappe if they had to leave QSG would they prefer Madrid, Juve or City, and I’m sure the answer would never be City.

Agreed. You can argue Salah might be world class if he repeats his performances last season, but Mane and Firmino, though good players, were nowhere near as good at their previous clubs. They have been coached well and the system gets the best out of them. I doubt Mane for one would be as good in our system, though he is still an above average player.

Think it's just because the bar was set so low when he came in.

Mane already has more goals than Mata finished on last season.
Think he has more goals than Sánchez has scored for us too.

Defence is our issue.

The bar could've been set lower than the height of a ball & Karius would've still let it in somehow.

Leicester will surely score soon if they keep hitting shots from 30 yards

In terms of personnel and gathering names we're not far away.

But in terms of overall balance on the pitch we're a very overrated team overall. We're playing wingers at full back position, number 10s at right wing and strikers on left wing. Our striker up front can't hold the ball when alone to save himself. Midfield and GK are our only balanced positions and even the former has an inconsistent prima donna who never shows up week in week out.

What you're saying from Liverpool based on planning for the last 2-3 years. They got a pretty good manager and stick with him even when he was finishing 4th and winning nothing but they believed in him and his football. They spent well on players that are good and functional like Salah and Mane (the latter was refused by our fans here) rather than prima donnas and marketable players. They sold their big star, added his money to the budget and bought in the areas they have problems in. defense, midfield and GK.

Both them and City are far ahead of us when it comes to actual planning for football side it's depressing.

It’s been all Leicester for the last 15mins.

Has he actually had to do much of anything yet?
Nope. Not just this game, but all of them. He makes standard saves that are elevated to the realms of world class by those who commentate on the game.

I think Maddison will turn out a great player. Feel like SAF would have been interested in him.

We've been the better side and are 1 up away to Leicester which is a good result.

Don't think this is us at anywhere near our best though.
