Premier League Matchday 7

Two fraud managers out and about.

One parking the bus, the other failing to create big chances against said bus.

Bloody hell, you either don't understand what the word "fraud" means, or you think every single manager in world football is a fraud.

City have been great but they're missing a CF badly. Also KDB has been their weak link, oddly enough.

City play soooooo good, it’s nice football to watch, especially as it’s against Liverpool. Should have taken a few of those chances though

Why on earth are they not playing Sterling? Is he injured? He is one of few in that side that can score goals and knows how to move inside the box, despite the inconsistency.
Whaaaat? Sterling scored THREE goals in last 24 PL+CL games plus he's always terrible at Anfield, mainly with fans back.

City are so good off the ball pressing teams and penning them in to sustain attacks. They just suffocate you. For all the pressure though the only great chance they’ve had was the de Bruyne header - Grealish hasn’t got a scooby what to do up there.

Feel like Sterling does more than Grealish

Grealish has gone from looking absolutely world class at Villa, to looking like a fairly average player at City.
Maybe people were right on him looking artificially better than he is being surrounded by turds at Villa.

Thank god they didn't sign a striker this summer.
Would've been curtains. They are an unbelievably good team. Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG are elite teams who like to play on the front foot and they've basically made all three look like midtable fodder just trying to survive.

All this with their best player (De Bruyne) playing drunk.

Just watching how easy City are breaking up Liverpool's counter attacks. Literally within seconds they shut the door and win the ball back.

Then contrast this to us yesterday and against Villareal. We can't win the ball back or do the dirty stuff on the halfway line. This is the area where the battle is won and lost. Boss this area and you control the game. Even if one City player is bypassed, 2 or 3 more are backing him up. We could learn a lot from these attributes.

Incidentally, imagine if they had Ronaldo up front. They'd be 3 up at half-time.

Wasn't watching when Foden missed that sitter. Blooming heck, they've had quite a few today.

Imagine how many goals a Kane or Lukaku wound score at City. Their chance craters are unreal

If Pep and Klopp are frauds, Ole is certainly not the Boi.

If these two are fraud managers I wonder what our non achiever is.

Can't believe folks are still falling for that poster, just a wummer whose sole contribution is to.... do exactly that, wind you all up.

But on the flip side they could be this good because they have everyone involved in the build up so heavily.

In theory a striker to finish what they create sounds scary but it doesn't always work like that.

Agreed, although it wouldn't hurt them to take a punt on a clinical defender in January

Also, signing a striker wouldn't change the fact that most City players are dreadful at finishing and that will continue to be their Achilles heel in games like this

Henderson and Milner look very old out there. You need players who can put their foot on the ball in these games as well as energy.

I could be joking :p

Although my post does illustrate how I view the football forum's general opinion on Ole, so I guess satire is a better description.

Yeah in fairness we do need a sarcasm claxon on here

There's sucha sea of drogbeat posts at times, the richer irony posts can be get lost on a quick sweep through.

Agree with the subs, I was just checking if Thiago was around but looks like he's injured?

Thiago for Jones would've changed the game
Yeah he should be fit next week. Jones could learn a lot from Foden.

Each of the City players are properly coached and much more confident on the ball.

Absolutely! I thought Tuchel was being too defensive last week, but seeing City players harass Liverpool into oblivion, I am beginning to appreciate the off the ball play of this City team. They are out-pressing a Klopp team. This is a team that looks like its just 1 striker short of sleepwalking the league..

Yes and no.

It's sort of cheating not playing a striker, as you have an extra man deeper, so have more space.

the proof in the pudding is if you actually score using this approach, and today it's not happened.

If VAR checked and it's not a penalty because it was outside the box, surely then it's a red? It's as close to a clear goal scoring chance as it can be.

It's like watching a different bloody sport seeing City. Meanwhile, Spurs can beat Villa and Viera looks a better coach than Ole

To play away at Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool at least this half so far with the performance they've been playing at is insane. City letting Pep down without bringing in a striker this season going to be a problem.

City playing a false number nine... but the best false number nine in the business is Martial... :D

Bernado Silva better than pretty much all our midfield put together...

Foden missed two 1v1’s as well.

Grealish is an absolute waste of money.

Imagine Halaand in this team. Good grief.

Jones isn't fit too laces boots mate.

Foden is a one of them players that don't come around that often. Greenwood is looking like one. Liverpool had Gerrard, when you watched the cru cut lad come on with a shirt that buried him you just knew.

Jones nah... Good player.. but..
